Brown car broken camshaft

So i know that it broke right now im working on removing the head to see of theres damage.

Im hopeing that theres not. But i got a 50/50 chance.


I think if this does turn out good, sould i upgrade to a minime and mpfi?
Since i done all the work to remove the head.

    I know there a HP gain with the mpfi but what of fuel economy?

    I actually got equal or better fuel economy with mpfi, and it was consistently good. When I beat on my hatch when it was dpfi the fuel mileage was terrible (22-27 mpg) with an average that was higher. With mpfi my average was probably slightly better and I never got below 28 or so mpg no matter what.

    That's my experience, but no matter what you are getting a good boost in power for a little worse fuel mileage in the worst case scenario with the possiblity of getting better mpg.

    yeah i get the same consistent MPG with the MPFI swap as well. if i take it easy i actually get better MPGs.

    broke the cam? rebuild or replace the motor.

    Broken cam is caused by it siezing from lack of oil.
