Motor is dead again.

Well it just stoped running. Its geting spark, fuel, air. Timeing belt good.

It will Burp if you let it sit. But it wont fire. Just cranks :(




Also my other wagon the brown car has a broken Camshaft. :evil:

    you sure its all happening at the right time? is your timing correct? you positive you're getting fuel?

  • Its getting ecu codes 1,4,8.

    Yep its geting fuel.

    I think your right its something with the timeing.

    Its it possible that some how the timeing could slip?

    yeah it is possible. whats also possible is that the dizzy timing is off, try advancing or retarding it.

    code 1 = O2 sensor
    code 4 = crank angle sensor (inside dizzy)
    code 8 = Top Dead Center sensor..

    codes 4 and 8 mean you definitly have messed up timing somewhere. could be inside the dizzy as well (faulty dizzy).

    im thinking it might be that your timing belt skipped a tooth or two.
  • The dizzy is set. I had it done last summer but it could be off by a fraction.
    But i still think it would start and run even though the dizzy is off.

    It's late now but tomorrow morning ill double check the timing belt and see if your right. I hope it that simple, or more simple then that cause I hate doing timing belts!

    I dont think so. I been runing on chump change for a long time. But ill check the dizzy.

    might be lucky with just a cap & rotor, but if you are getting codes, sounds like the whole unit needs replacing.

    nope not the dizzy i pulled the one off the brown honda and poped that on there and still the same thing.

    I cranked it a couple of time with the head off and every things moving and the timeing belt is good.

    Hun well its being sneaky. I left the ket on run w/o the motor runing and i heard a quiet high pitch sound coming from the rear of the motor. or is that the injection unit or someting to do with it?

    Fuel pump priming... at least you know the relay is working. (at the start ;) )
