Bought another hatch.

Got it wrecked in the front, but had a EF9 frontend, so I slapped it on and pretty much havent done anything but add wheels, a red stripe and the little woman detailed the int for me. Lemmie know whatcha think. It had JDM back bumper w/lip, rear spoiler w/LED brake light, full taillights, doors with functional power windows, fenders w/sidemarkers, and the wind deflector. It also had a set of the yellow square fogs sitting in the backseat. The front was damaged JDM stuff and not salvagable other than one of the turn signals and one headlight. The car also had the integra rear disc conversion, larger front brakes, Neuspeed springs and a fancy AEM intake.

  • I love these hatches, If I had the money 2 years ago I would have bought my buddies EE9. was in mint condition back them and the current owner uses it for rallycross  :x :x

looks great shenrie ;-) I'm jealous.
  • I miss my SIR 90 hatch. Did the US hatches come with that hood? Only the VTEC equipped hatches here in Germany came with those hoods.

    Nice hatch!!!!!

^^^Nope. All the US Civics have the downward cowl. Its wierd too, cause you can actually see the hood when your drving it. Im not used to that. It makes it feel different for some reason.

    Thanks for the comps gents!
  • I love the way those hoods make the hatch look. I had a normal hatch after my SIR and I hated the hood. Maybe one day I will buy another B16 SIR hatch.
  • Well done, sir!!!!! She's a beaut. I can't really think of words to express how I feel....I'm in love.

damn she is nice!! i love the Si-R conversion. i've been looking for one for a long time now for our hatchback project. you know a good source? i tried passwword jdm but there prices are crazy.

I love the hood as well, along with all the JDM crap thats on it. So subtle, yet so different if you know what your looking for. Never had a hatch with power anything, lol. The frontend on the car....well, I find myslef looking out the window at it .... often hahaha. Im really happy with the car. It defnatly needs some paint though.

Im liking the panda look too. I cant decide if I wanna paint the rear bumper black, or paint the front bumper white. Im torn. The hood is staying black though.

As far as finding conversions, thats a good guess. I bought this one from a friend in another town close to me. He has Japan contacts, or at least had. Not sure of he current status. But finding someone in Cali with a hookup is probably your best bet. When we were bringing in stuff from Japan Id say 85% of what we sold went to the Eastcoast. Westcoast is flooded with it, so nobody was willing to pay rates, which we kinda matched from Password etc.

Again, thanks for teh compliments everyone!

Grids are 16x7 and the slips (race wheels) are 16x8. No idea if there was one for sale here, definatly wasnt this one. No immediate plans to ditch. I really like this car...its not red, hahaha.

I have 95% of a rhd conversion sitting in the garage, but no idea if ill ever get up enough ambition to actually do the conversion.

the car won me SMF in our local region with basically stock suspension. Other than cut neuspeed springs, its all bone stock. No idea on what the alignment is either. its to low to get on the rack.

    Appreciate the compliments everyone!

Looks almost like my old 89 si.

Due to severe rust I had to end out lives together.

But most of her entire driveline and electronics will live though a 90 civic dx, with the roof from the 89 si and also rhd.

Love love LOVE what you've done with this car.
I had a 91 hatch that I had for the longest time. I had to let her go because I couldn't babysit a wagon, a hatch and a CRX. So I let one go...and I still miss her to this very day.

^^^ thanks man, really appreciate the comps!

we are up to 6 vehicles now. 4 ef's, a toyota pu, and a tl-s. sadly some of them have to go and this one will be one of three going here in the next few years. hoping to get stable down to 3, maybe 4 if we can find an affordable truck to tow racecars with.

Bill, did an update, but when site was down it erased all new pix/comments. thread on ims has updates though, but you havent bothered looking, lol.

heres a few highlights. will also updated the op modlist.

last weekend I added koni yellows/gc's, crossdrilled/slotted rotors, ebc yellows, a DB1 suspension techniques rear swaybar, and es full bushingkit.
