Okay so let me lay out a few things please:
1. I'm no photographer
2. I've only had the camera, a Canon XSi/450D for less than a week and am still figuring it out
3. Not a single photoshop or edit (other than resize) has been done to any shots as I have no clue how to do so
4. My "shoot" was on my way home on a spur of the moment location
5. My monitor is an old CRT crapola that is always too dark, so excuse any of the shots for being too bright or dark as I can't really tell on my monitor.
Having said that here's some shots...=)
Now back to the old cheap point and shoot pics...:)
I got brand new OE Honda bumpers and decided to have them shot OE RT4WD model style with body matched sections - here is what it turned out like:
I'm pleased with the results. I think it makes it look less "base modelish" and a bit nicer overall. the color matched very well, but the bumpers are textured heavily and it gives the paint a less glossed look to them, but then again that's how they looked when the RT4WD were new off the showroom floor.
Anyways thanks for looking.
Here's the older shots pre-new-painted bumpers:
I snapped some quick shots of the gunmetal wagovan. Some of you will recognize it from @ries pics before, but I bought it and have been doing some minor tweaks to it, starting with wheel color:
Jump for joy over wagovans!

I know they're 15'' and +30 offset - for some reason the width is not cast into the hub area, but I measured them with a big plastic caliper used to measure wheel/tire width to balance the wheels and they appear to be 7'' wide.
So basically they should be 15x7 +30 offset Black Racing wheels.
Thanks to all for the kind words. Plans for the car are as follows:
1. Paint bumpers
Either total bumper black like they are now, just to freshen them up, or RT4WD style with black tops and bottoms with a body color-matched center.
2. Strip and retint windows
I hate window tint. I really hate purplish tint that starts to peel up at the edges. Normally I'd just strip and leave them clear, but this will be my DD and I'll have a baby in the back, so it will be nicer for the baby to have some fresh tint back there - it beats Winnie the Pooh suction cupped shades on the windows.
3. Skunk 2 front camber kits
I plan on possibly changing the ride height some more and maybe even swapping out the 24 way adjustable full coil-overs off in favor of something softer, and in doing so I need to easily adjust camber up front.
4. Brand new, in the box OE Honda floor mats
Arriving Monday. Looked for these things for a while and found two sets in stock at a Vermont Honda dealer.
That's about it. I plan on trying my hand at an artsy fartsy photo shoot with this Wagovan and my Silver EG once the Wagovan is more "presentable" with it's fresh bumpers.
how much!!!
Damn it must be special if shenrie makes an appearance!
Well after an extensive search I was able to locate an OE Honda front bumper - evidently in the Honda parts database this is supposed to be th last one in the country at present. Came from Iowa!!!
So having found the front, I also secired the rear bumper too, along with the apron trim piece that runs along the top of the front bumper, just under the hood and lights. I've also ordered the belt moldings for the driver side/left side doors. The right side ones will be fine to respray them with trim paint - I'd get new ones but the right rear door isn't available through Honda now.
Anyways a few pics:

Note the paint line where to stop paiinting:

Now the question I'm asking myself is wether to put them on OE black, or go with the OE 4WD model paint theme. I've always loved the OE painted bumpers the way they left the middle sections and tops black to match the side moldings, but fresh OE black new bumpers seem cool too.
Oh and they're going on this:
...and before anyone else asks:
My current bumpers aren't really that bad, but have a few scuffs on the front and small misc. knicks so I wanted them to be super funky fresh.
I might end up respraying the old bumpers and keeping them as bacl-ups, or maybe sell them to recoup some fundages.
i love your wagon. so clean.
how much did the paint job cost? i really wanna know.
Another friend of mine wanted $120.00 in labor, then his boss wanted something like $170.00 for materials and "booth time" for a total of $290.00 or some shit.
If you want the name/number of the shop that did mine I'll be happy to forward it to you. they evidently know how to tape them right.
Last on my looks "list" may be a rear lip of some sort. I've seen a few around here that looked pretty cool, but I'm really, really picky on fitment and I don't want to have one that doesn't look OE.
Any suggestions?
your car would definitly look good with a rear lip... NJ1 has a DA front lip modified for the rear, if im not mistaken and it look like a very good job. i've got a 4th gen accord front lip modified for the rear, and im happy with it... considering the lip cost me $1 and i spent maybe 45 minutes on it.. haha yeah. i didnt even have to cut the end tabs off... only issues you might run into is where the exhaust opening is. if you are good with moulding rubber/plastic and such then you should have no problems with it at all.
as far as little to no modding needed...oof.
only thing i can think of would be a Si-R rear lip but those prolly wouldnt fit the wagon bumpers...
You can slightly knotch the inside corner of the mudguard to fit the lip right in there. Thats what I did. I kinda rushed it but when I have time I will work on it to make it look better.
Another question - how did you mount it? I'm afraid if I did a project like this I wouldn't be able to get it as nice as yours, so I'd scrap the idea altogether out of frustration. It would suck to have self tapping screw holes in the bottom of a brand new bumper, you know?
I think the ear lip definately completes the look of the wagons though when they've got the black side skirts and a black front lip. That's the only thing I can pick apart on mine right now - the rear bumper hang is a good bit higher than he side skirts and ront bumper/lip. Kind of like a body kit with no rear lip in a weird way.
At least I've got a spare rear bumper to try and test fit whatever lip I try. I really like the way yours looks though, for sure. If it's a DA 90-93 front lip modded then I could probably grab a few at a local yard nd start molding I guess.
Any other tips would be awesome, thanks!
