rt 4wd to 2wd

just wondering if it was possible to convert a rt 4wd to 2wd by just taking out the drive shaft running from front to rear along with the rear end and keep the stock 4wd gear box ... will i encounter any problems ?

Nope. Just switch her to 2WD and then remove the 4WD running gear.
