o2 sensor on after market headers question?

I got a question about were should the o2 sensor go on after market headers, the headers i bought has two spots for the sensor, one spot is on the collector, and the other is on the header but it will just read one cylinder, should i extend my wire to place it on the collecter so it reads all cylinders?

    you can put it in the upper hole, where it will read from 1 cylinder. ive done this on a few cars and never had an issue.
