manual to automatic conversion questions

ok. i'm looking for an awd wagon with an automatic, and i'm not getting much luck at all.

soooooooo.

1. how difficult would it be to swap an automatic into an AWD manual shift vehicle?

or

2. make a 2 wd automatic AWD?

or

3. make a 2wd manual into a AWD automatic?

somewhere i read that there's a hump in the floor of the awd that's missing in the 2wd, but i can't find the post. is this true?

also, do AWD vehicles have a switch or something to lock the hubs into 4wd if the going gets rough :?:

    I'm sure plenty of auto guys would throw their fizz boxes at you for a direct swap.

    anyone know if it's an easy swap? i actually have an automatic from a 1988 dx, but i'm not so sure it'd work.

    oh, and you a puscifer fan pacifier?

    hey man i would give u mine (90 honda civic realtime 4wd wagon) my is automatic... i want to change my to stick cause i have no fun drivin automatic...

    i'm still curious. is the standard 2wd automatic tranny the same as the awd?

    no the 2WD trannies are completely different in the fact that the 4WD has a shaft coming out of it for the rear wheels. 2WD does not (duhhh)

    Yes and no, the album wasn't what i had hoped but was still good.
    The avatar is indeed MJK wearing a Puscifer shirt but the nickname comes from a kiwi band called Shihad, one of their songs is called Pacifier and it rocks. Co-incidentally the same band changed their name to Pacifier and tried to get some airtime in the states, they changed their name because the american record labels said their name was too close to jihad. LAWL.

    Only once. :cry:

    They came to New Zealand for the Big Day Out last January and said they'd be back by now until Danny injured his arm which i think put them out by two or three months.
