I had a fun ride home yesterday

Last night I was coming home from work and while travelling about 70 mph in the fast lane I heard a loud pop and all of a sudden my front end's driver side fell down . Luckily I was able to steer towards the median and pull over. After looking at the damage it looks like my lower balljoint separated from the knuckle, thus ripping out the tri-pot driveaxle.

How easy are the tri-pot driveaxles to find? Do I also need toget a new lower ball joint?

Thanks in advance.

Jeez! My buddy had the same problem like 2 weeks ago with his RT. U can get the axle at a local Napa. Or if you arent in a rush you can order one online.
Most likely you will have to replace your lower ball joint and for good measure replace the other side as well. I know you have kids so I'd hate to hear that this happened to you again with your children in the car.
Heres a guide to replace the LBJ
