The Tire Rack warehouse is with-in walking distance of my house? Thats terribly convenient.
Wanted to run a little bit a smaller tire to see how it looks. I have been running 195/60/14.
I didn't want to go crazy small- just a dash smaller. Unfortunately 185/55/14 is not a popular tire size. Only one company I found that made them: Yokohama. Nice tires.
Picked up 88-89 Accord LXi wheels from Powder Coating.
I got in a wreck in the Element. I t-boned a Ford sedan trying to cross a 4 lane street. 3 lanes had stopped to let me pass through and I could not see the car coming in the 4th lane. The Element has some frame damage and is considered a loss by insurance.
driving my wagon full time until I find a replacement. I've never wrecked a car before, so this was startling. Really shook me up a little. Element kept me safe. Looking for another one.
Jeez dude I'm glad you're okay. I'm also a fellow Element owner, and they are tanks when it comes to safety. Luckily we've avoided accidents in ours, but you never know.
...the irony is once you're DDing your wagon you'll very quickly want to sort out any issues that might have been bugging you, but now you don't have the ability to park it because DDing it.
That sucks Bill but happy you are not injured. Better the Element than the Wagon in my book. I have been DDing my wagon since July and loving it. What is ur next car going to be?

Yeah I really want to replace the fuel pump hoses. I think it would help a lot. But I got a lot of things to sort out with the Element right now.

Im thinking an Element. They are hard to find with less than 150,000 miles on them, lols.
I wasn't super fond of the all-tan panels in the new Element. And Im not sure if Honda ever made black an option in the 2009+ Elements (maybe SC- but doesnt matter because I need 4wd) ?
Anyways I swapped 90% of my interior from my old Element. It was a lot of work.
Put my roof rack on. Removed plastidip from front bumper and rear tailgate area.
Wait! Is that lobstah or craw fish I spy there?!?!?!
Lols, Its a Lobstah I think? Just ruining my wifes beach towels.
Visors installed.
Removing the old double side sticky tape was not easy.I soaked the tape in Goo-Gone for a week, then came back to it. It came off eventually.
Put on new 3M sticky tape, and re-install. I clamped it down, not really necessary but ya know.
O ya and the wagon. I went to and Old School Meet.
That last one of the wagon is "Fire" It musta been "Lit!" Just tryin to fit in with the modern lingo. Still have tons of room for improvement. Nice work on both rides!!
So I finally started the refinishing process on these Mugen wheels that I've had in the corner of my garage for a while...
They should be done some time in 2017.
Broke 1 bolt on 1 wheel, took it to Woody's Wheel Repair to have bolt removed. (Not affordable, lols).
Picked it up, took all 4 to a polishing place I cant remember the name of right now.
Dropped the centers off at Blue Flame Powder Coating.
Still trying to acquire Mugen replacement bolt.
Had SC spoiler refinished (by Abbra Autobody & Paint) for the Element. (it was red, because previous Element was red, but I wrecked it. You remember.)
Comments
lol, sorry. There is one other set in the world that I know of. PM me for details.
Much wow.
I need center caps. If anyone has some lying around????
They are 88/89 Accord wheels. 14". Not sure what I am doing with them yet?
Status update:Hovercraft.
Rock on!
Curious.
I don't think my brakes will fit under a 14" though.
