Discount Tires. Discount Tire on Colfax is awesome. They treat me like an employee (in that they let me wander into the shop and all over and watch them like a hawk). The manager (or who I assume is the manager) said he will be the one mounting the tires- to ensure not messing up the fresh PC. Cool people.... or maybe I was just an annoying customer who was all up in their business... either way...

These wheels are too bright for iphone? its really hard to get the color right with phone.

  • Those wheels fit surprisingly well, I for some strange reason feel the need to add an orange flag to the rear of the wagon, like the dune bugg flags if that makes sense.

if you do, make sure to add a few tennis balls to protect the finish.

If I saw those wheels in a different room than the car I would say they would never work. But together...they look so good! Great roll of the dice on that one. Turned out awesome!
  • Very nice, can't say I would rock that color but they look great man! Im still keeping an eye out for some aero covers for ya.

Yeah i really wasn't sure what was going to happen, but the wagon is old, square, faded and there is something kind of drab about it- kind of? if that makes any sense? I thought, lets go the complete opposite. I thought about color match, I thought white, black, red, but nothing was a big enough contrast. I wanted something bright and clean and the opposite of drab- I think I accomplished that. I like it.

Thanks dude, the color is definitely not for everyone, lols. I know there are a few people that absolutely hate it, but I am into it. As for the Aero covers, there is a guy that makes reproductions, but they are 300 dollars. FOR REPRODUCTIONS.... That doesn't seem very lucrative, they certainly cant cost that much to make? right?

LOL~!~ I think only U would come up with that solution~! Goes well with the wheels.

Also, I meant to ask you, how color-fast is that florescent yellow pigment? Usually, colors like that fade pretty quick. I spent some time in the printing industry and I remember they had (back in the day) about 90 days of life. Apparently something has changed.....

Im not sure how long florescent last? Forever? I don't drive the wagon a ton (usually only on Wednesday) and its in the garage the when I'm not driving it- so I don't know?- I dont Imagine it will experience a ton of sun fading?

But yes I do know that florescent vinyl fades super fast.

I am not a fan of that body style but man you do pull this off very nicely with those wheels. The color contrast to the body looks awesome man. Keep it up!

Thanks man. Its not the most popular chassis.

The past couple weeks beta testing yielded Skateboard-Armrest-2s+.

Featuring trenta ice coffee cup holders. A shortened snout (easier access to seatbelt plug and e-brake). And more stickers.

Lots of miles. No big deal

Dip testing. I wanted to actually paint this black, but wanted to make sure I like the way it looked first. It will be painted black in the future I think.
The inspiration. The 55i model came with the rear hatch surround area painted black.

That center console idea is pretty choice Bill! Might be a decent option for the ole Element center console.

I'm really liking the black hatch trim. It gives the back end of the car a really different feel. Kinda makes it look like that part is removable. :P

Thanks man, me too, I think I'm going to make it a permanent situation. I want it to be high gloss black though. So I may take it in? or rattle can it? Undecided.

Good lort! I haven't caught up with your E in a while. That center console is insane and I hate you for it.

Plenty, yes. But not 100% water tight.

I went to the car wash after I installed it. A few drips inside, but nothing major or concerning...
  • Rock on, looks great. How nervous were you on those cuts =D That's a hell of a lot of metal to remove and it not work out right.

I'd totally take the top from that and weld up a base for it. Make a rad little patio table or something.

pretty nervous, but more nervous when I went to get the frame to see if it fit... Im like "if I mis-measured... I am fucked".

It worked out. The excess metal is by the trash can today- no table for me.
  • Loving the work on the wagon Bill! I can only hope to have my wagon so clean within the next 5 years... which is the goal lol.
