Car arrived on the southside of ATL today. Very clean car, but arrived dirty since the truck got snowed on during some of the trip from San Diego.
I had it dropped off at the shop I work at, but I was so damn busy with customers this afternoon I didn't get to spend any QT with the wagon. All I managed was to lower the front down a bit and drive the car two times very briefly down our street at the shop which is maybe an 1/8th of a mile.
Tomorrow the plans are complete wash, complete wax with 3M Liquid Wax (best wax ever IMO) and possibly even completely repainting all trims Duplicolor Trim Black.
Also on the dockett is a complete 4-wheel alignment just as soon as I get he height perfect for me.
The Blue portion of the wheels will be getting professionally sprayed either matte black or bronze next weekend.
I've got to do SOMETHING to try and distinguish it as my own since Aries did such a fine job putting the car together much as I would have myself. I love the wheel style, just need a slightly more subtle color for the spokes, that's all.
Seriously the pics don't cover up any defects or make the car look better than it is - it's seriously hands down the cleanest wagon I've ever seen in person. Paint is amazing. Nothing a touch of wetsanding and buffing can't perfect, and there are maybe 4 dings in the entire car - pretty amazing as this is to be my DD car, not a perfection museum ride.
I'm on the hunt for a wagovan-specific car cover, OE floor mats (I won't hold my breath) and not much else.
Thanks again bro!
I will post my own topic with updated pics after I get the car washed/waxed tomorrow - I may ven toss my Spoon SW388s on it from my Silver EG until I get the blue wheels resprayed!
