Yeah there are some insurance companies over here that let you insure things as classic vehicles, which puts them in a different category. I'm sure you're paying out the nose for the coverage though. But still I mean it's such a fine line to walk in these cars. I've easily put over $5000 into mine, not even touched the motor and it's valued at $500 by the state and insurance companies.
Almost makes me wish I am in mine if ever it gets hit so I can have an "Injury" to cover things.
That said, if you get to keep it after insurance pays out, there's at least some money to recoup if you part things out. That rear cargo setup is looking mighty sweet.
Good thing is your ok, and that you live in the land of plenty wagons, market value of civic wagons in Australia is $4, 500 but if mine was written off I wouldn't have a chance finding another one, only around 15 left in the country
Shiiiit, that's some big damage! The car is wrecked! Stupid truck driver! Poor wagon! Can't even imagine the feeling coming out of work and seeing this :hopelessness:
Spoiler was gone, Front suspension missing. Only other part on it that was desirable were the Coil Over / RSR Spring / Extended Top hat rear shocks... to which i say... THANKS!
There were 3 shuttles that day, This one, a pretty horrible Civic Pro (Had those 1 bar across the rear side windows forgot to take) and a beaten up base model carb one.
Guys, it's all fucked. :P
Nothing on it was worth getting. There were two other shuttles in the same yard and the only thing worth salvaging out of the lot was a new set of park lights for my Shuttle as my current ones have condensation.

It's going through his insurance so I'll probably get like $1000. :hopelessness:
