Possibility of getting beagle bull bars shipped over :P

So, do you foreign people have junkyards and such things? Would it be possible to get a couple members and have a "group buy" on used beagle bull bars? You could ship them all together and we could split them up once they reached this shore.

Depending on the cost I might be willing to pay for a new oem replacement if it wasn't too pricey.

Possible or not?

Just thinking ahead, but we could ship them all to thinkfab and get them powdercoated depending on the condition of them and he could ship them out to the individuals later on.

  • You do realize how rare the Beagle is right? I have been in Germany nine years and have only seen two for sale. They usually are never parted out.

The other problem is you might know 5 or 6 people who would like to have one but are these 5 or 6 people ready to fork out 3-400 dollars? Shipping is going to hurt you because it won't be cheap. A good condition bullbar will run you about 150-200 dollars this is with the piaa lights. Then you have to have it shipped from Japan to you. If anybody has bought anything from Japan you will know sometimes this can get very expensive. A set of rims will run you 300 easy. I would say shipping for the bullbar might be around 150-200. It is very light in weight but it is the size that would get you. You should have seen the size of the box mine came in. Good luck in your search but your best bet would be Japan.
  • it is possible but like ragen said they are pretty rare, I haven't seen one in Belgium before. I once saw one in the Netherlands for sale but that's it.
best bet is japan, I know my buddy has some great connections in japan maybe he can help. I'll ask him when we get back from vacation
  • I wasn't aware that they were THAT rare, no. I thought they were sorta difficult to find parts for like the RT4WD is here in the US. I know shipping wouldn't be cheap, therefore why I thought maybe we could bulk ship them (5-6 at a time).

I guess I got my answer. It was worth a try...

Still, I'll ask my buddy to contact japan, maybe they have alot of them over there. I wound't mind getting one for my own wagon :D
  • Have you ever shipped anything from Japan??? I also went to the Junk yards in okinawa and I didnt' see one honda in any of them. Unbelievable? I thought so too. When I asked for Honda parts they just smiled and said sorry but they didnt' have anything for Hondas. Most are going for the big RWD sedans, or anything RWD. Here are some pics so you understand.

There are much bigger yards on the Mainland that I didn't have time to visit but I have seen the bullbars for sale. That is where I got the 100-200 dollar price range. Dont' ask me where they are because unless you speak japanese, and have a Japanese bank account it won't help you anyways.

I am not trying to discourage you from searching just letting you know what I found when I was there. There are Bullbars out there. It just seems like a waste of money considering Wago Dude showed everybody what could be done for 30 bucks. He gets more credit in my book because he made one work I just got lucky. Plus it helps when you buy one from a guy with a running beagle as I did and have your military buddy ship it (no it wasn't free because I wanted insurance on it and then you have to pay full price).

I think a full face brush guard would be better if you are actually going to use if for something (doubt it). Somebody had one here they had mocked up on their car that looked pretty good.

So since I don't have to have this on my car (because it serves no purpose) I will put this deal out there:

I am looking for a set of low offset wheels. I will trade plus cash on my end. You will pay for shipping on the bullbar and I will pay for shipping on the wheels. Don't bring some weak crap like 35 offset wheels. 4x100 or 4x114 (because I have adapters) will work.
  • Its unbelievable that they don't have any honda parts (and unforgiveable 8) shame on them). I wish I could find one like wagodude did, but I tried searching the internet and came up empty for anything that looked similiar for the vehicle he said he got his off of.

I don't really need the funtionality, I just like the look. Maybe one of these days I'll get one fabricated unless somebody else can work this out. I have no idea where to start, can't speak japanese, am not desperate, and not looking to spend half of my vehicles value just for one part. But, I'd gladly pay for one if someone can work out something.
  • I think pretty much any bullbar will work. I think a lower profile one would be better. The one another member was trying out was from a Suzuki Sidekick/Geo Tracker. That one looked good and it covered the whole front end.
  • nah, I don't really want one that covers the whole frontend. It wouldn't be that difficult to make one if I had the proper tools.....
