89 wagon 2wd from quad cities area, Illinois

Hi! My name is Victor! This is my third Honda ( I'm hooked ) and my first wagon! The first Honda was a wash, we won't talk about that one. The second, I still have - the Minion. That's my high - mpg daily ( 100 miles round trip to work ) with a little twist of fun - she's got a d15b jdm dual vtec lean burn motor & VX tranny. More on that in another thread if anybody's interested.

The real reason I assume we're all here is because we all seem to love these babies:

Her name is Skidmark! ( She's not exactly capable of making them yet, except maybe with brakes ).

Picked her up a few months back for a song ( $600 ). Towed her home about 350 miles on a U-haul:

She's back on the road now! Took some work, I assure you!

Her current mods / repairs include ( in order of necessity ):

-Battery
-Clutch interlock bypass
-front rotors & pads & brake fluid flush / bleed
-front lower ball-joints
-outer tie rod ends
-new tires
-( broke rod on stock block & killed block ) D16z6 bottom end (with non-vtec oil control jet installed - no real wiring changes)
-rebuilt ( new bearings and seals - synchros ok ) '89 tranny & installed back with "temp motor" mentioned above
-deleted passenger mirror
-converted to VX hydraulic tranny for better mpg's ( hasport kit - awesome to keep cable feel )
-installed rear speaker pods
-installed security system
-installed head unit and inverter / PS3

Future plans include but not limited to:

-achieving turn - key mechanical perfection ( one day )
-bodywork / paint
-rediculously low suspension
-new rims / tires
-custom built turbo motor
-drop down monitor for rear passengers
-subwoffer (probably bazooka tube w/ amp under driver's seat )
-re-upholstering driver's seat
-more cool stuff I haven't figured out yet on this site!!!

Should be a good time, I'm glad to have so many "wagon specialists" available for brain - picking!!
But really, it's good to be here - can't wait to get started reading around..

Thanks,
Victor
