Akiraboy's RT4WD

akiraboyakiraboy HondaCivicWagon.com Founder
I bought my wagon in August of 2002, I bought it to modify it & do somethin that was different from all the other Civics around. I got it for $1800 with like 100,000 miles approx.
It was a weird deal...he was sellin it for $2500 initially and I lowballed him :GRRR jeez he was pissed @ me for a while.
But whateva he got over it & I got it for $700 less.

When I got the wagon it started out like this:

that is sick! awesome mods you have there!
  • akiraboyakiraboy HondaCivicWagon.com Founder
thanks, the problem is I have a boat load of pics & theres so many little things I do to it all the time I cannot remember all of em.

For example: Heres a pic I forgot I had. The ONLY reason I have it is because I popped 2 tires on the passenger side & I had to put 2 spare tires on :!: This is when I had the tein spring on & the stock struts. what a bouncy ride :!:
    www.civicwagon.com
Well, the point to this pic is I installed the ventvisors & totally forgot until(you guessed it) I looked @ the pic.
Kinda weird too but the car is SICKLY LOW because of the spare tires & lowering spring combo

OH, and theres an important lesson in here as well: YOU MUST SWITCH YOUR 4WD to 2WD to avoid damaging the 4wd system. Since I basically had to borrow someone elses spare tire, it was smaller than the other tires & it would have caused a different rotating ratio. Thus damaging the 4wd system, trust me-not good

I really want to get this b-swap rollin but I keep comin across so many cheap parts its killin me. :? I mean like the last time I ended up gettin another wagon  who'd a thunk it.
Now it seems like I keep comin across cheaper deals, its tough tryin to stay on 1 path.

I must admit 1 thing though. I basically have 1 wagon I can totally dedicate to autox or drag & the other can be my everyday driver & thats 8)
Well, whatever I decide to do next is gonna be killer!!!

another example: I just replaced this valve cover with a 94-95 valve cover that has the vtec lettereing on it, I'll try to get a pic of that 1 as well.

  • sic944tsic944t Wagonist

Sorry but I've been so busy lately I guess I forgot to let everyone know I've got some updates to add. I haven't had time to sort stuff out but I'm going to throw it up here anyways. I added a Mugen bumper as of late

  • akiraboyakiraboy HondaCivicWagon.com Founder
thx, I just had to do it. I have like 3 stock bumpers now so that got boring. I want to cut up 1 of em & give it the jdm treatment

    carbon fiber hood

    Frank,

nice bumper..did you get one for the rear too?

-your CFH doesn't look like it's sittin' right.
it's about 1.5' inch too long at the top..

does it happen to have the core in it too? like in this pic..
    2273825_83_full.jpg

that is the type i'd be interested in making..one with Epoxy resins and 100% carbon + kevlar and with the core..so no ugly hood pins would be necessary.
  • akiraboyakiraboy HondaCivicWagon.com Founder
the cf hood was a perfectly good EF hood that got the dremel treatment. What you are seeing is the fitment stages from this weekend. I have already trimmed the excess from the top of the hood and matched it to the top fender lines. My hood has the cross bracing underneath it like the stock hood and unlike the pic that was posted. I may remove the top portion of the hood and reattach it to a bottom core that I have left from a junk hood I got from my spare wagon
  • akiraboyakiraboy HondaCivicWagon.com Founder
can't remember if I posted this already
    Blitz Technospeeds, cf48s, M2s

hey frank all you need to do is fill in the little gap of your ww bumper with the filler from our cars just cut the piece and mold it to the front thats what i did when i had that bumper
  • lookin' good!
but where's the CFH you had on there?...
  • akiraboyakiraboy HondaCivicWagon.com Founder
lol, yeah I haven't had the chance to add my filler pieces on the bumper yet cause its temporary and my stock bumper is gettin the JDM ttreatment

the cf hood still needs some more work
