Tons of OIL SPATTER

Ok, so I just picked up a RT4WD 1991 Automatic Wagon last night
204,000 miles and I paid 800.00 bucks for it

So Im a wagon owner now and mods will be coming soon..

The only issue is that when I started the car this morning I let it run for about 5 minutes, walked inside my house and walked back out..
Suddenly I have this giant Black spot on my drive way. Tiny Clups of oil..

anyone know of a thread that can help me get rid of this issue..

yes it does leak oil..but how can I fix it my amigos?

Well first, you need to pinpoint your leak. Clean off your engine if it's covered in grime and check your levels of your engine and transmission to determine which system is leaking.

After you pinpoint the leak, replace the seal or gasket that's causing it. Always look from the top of the engine to pinpoint leaks, then move further down till you find it.

Follow the steps I mentioned and move forward with finding that leak! You can always try looking at parts like the valve cover gasket, oil pain, rear main seal, distributor, front crank and cam seals.

so I traced it to the gasket rubber seal (HEAD) and it needs a new one. anyone have blueprints or a manual on how to change it

    Valve cover gasket?

Yeah valve cover gasket. The rubber one
  • Take off the valve cover, swap gasket, put on valve cover. Its like 2 nuts on a Dseries so basically the easiest job one could do
