changing oil without the mess?

I did some searches, so if it's posted somewhere obvious, sorry 'bout that.

Anyways, what's the secret to changing the oil in an RT without making a complete mess and getting it all over the exhaust so it can burn for the next week?

    truckslammer, I work about two blocks from there and I happen to have a gift certificate, so I'll swing by and check 'em out. You're using the smaller one I assume

    It's the sixth item down, I may pick one of those up and see if it'll fit in there or just make one at work.

    I also read a trick about using a ziplock bag around the filter to try and catch anything that spills out.

    I'll update with my progress. probably won't change the oil until next week, lol

    Awesome! That is how I got mine, Christmas gift certificate. I got the long one but either will work. And um, I work about a mile from that place...cool. I like that Honda accessory too. I might have to check that out too. Anyone already have one?

    id just make one for roughly 30-40$ shipped lol go to home depot and get some sheet metal take a couple measurements get some metal scisors and cut and bend and done.

    I work for a plastic fabrication shop, so I'll make one at work this week that I know will fit :)
