tune up time

tune up time has arrived for my wagon, i have new ignition wires, spark plugs, fuel filter, and valve cover gasket set. also i have the little o-rings that go under the rocker assembly. my question is: when taking off the rocker assembly to put the new o-rings in do i need to do a valve adjustment after putting it back on the motor? or if i dont move it around too much should it be fine?

Adjust the valves. It takes less than half an hour, and you'll know it's right.

Now, in reality you can get away with leaving them alone. Everything should end up the same.
  • yeah i know i should it seems like a simple job, but i have never done it before. i just dont know what im feeling for in terms of the drag on the feeler gauge. if i really dont have to do it, i dont want to cause i dont want to mess anything up
  • Sorry to bring up a old post but what's the name of the orings under the rockers and what are the benifits of replacing them

they are little o-rings that go under the rocker assembly where the spark plug tubes meet the head. they prevent oil seeping into where the spark plug sits. Honda part no. is 91301-PJ7-000. hope this helps
