    Nice work stopping the rust.
  • Where did that rear quarter panel come from? I thought there were no wagon ones available?

    Hi,
I think they used Klokkerholm's items IN:2909591 for the left, and IN:2909592 for the right side.
  • Hi folks!
As I promised, there are some photos from the body repairs.
The corrosion protection is ready, I think only the painting and the assembly is back, maybe a few days and it's done.

One more thing. I asked the master, how did he use the quarter panels?
It's fit exactly or need to cut? He told, it's need to cut one site. And if you look at the photos thoroughly you can see the cutted area. ;)

Civic Sedan ones fit better, still require fabrication but they follow the arch a little more.
  • the new sexy body

As you see it's all over genuine, because the MOT has yet to.
But after :D when I get the fresh number plate, I'd like to start my project.

    at first:
    new alloy wheels and tires
    a bit lower body
    new customised exhaust system
front and rear bumper lips (maybe painted bumpers)
    wind fairing
    darker, foiled windscreens
  • my new wheels and nuts :smug:

I see you don't have te small triangle side mouldings on yet, are you missing those or just didnst place them yet?

If missing, shoot me a PM, I might be able to help you out ;)

Have you got the Bosal part number for that rear exhaust? I've been looking through all the old catalogues at work and i cannot find any exhausts for the RT4WD

Hi, i don't know, maybe this silencer it's an aftermarket bosal item. I also couldn't find anywhere. ;)

It's very interesting, the bosal catalog brings two catalog numbers:
    163-381 for the D16A6 engine,
    http://www.catalogue.bosal.com/pages/exh_system_list.php?query_nr=2&make=HONDA&model=Civic+Shuttle

and 163-461 for the D16Z2 and D16A6 engines.

It looks amazing man! Great freaking work.
  • Thank you guys!
The car at this time on the MOT test, if everything ok tomorrow she gets a new number plates. I'm looking forward to drive it.
  • So, finally I got the number plates yesterday. She's at home. It's very good, I'm so glad the car is runs independently in anywhere. The fonts on the plates are MWH, it means to me: My Wagon Honda
But unfortunately I have a bad news. It looks I need to replace the cylinder head gasket, because there is a little problem with a cooling temperature. It's jump up and down when the car stops after the road (while the engine is working). The thermostat, the radiator and his cap are new. So, I don't know what is this, but I guess this is a beginning of a cylinder head problem.
Thats all, the car is 25 years old and this gasket as I know was made of klingerit and maybe it's too old. It's time to replaced. I know what will be my next month's activity.

great work , to bad you couldnt get that back side molding on the repaired quarters though. keep it up

Remove the radiator cap and check the coolant level. Look in the radiator, not the plastic overflow bottle.

I refilled up the whole system when I replaced the thermostat, there is about 4,5 L coolant inside. So the levels are ok and the bleeding process also. Unfortunately here will be another problem. :(
