1988 Honda Civic Wagon

hello, my name is Rafty and I just picked up a wagon. Ever since my first car back in 2008, I have always been into EFs. I had the sedan, CRX, and the hatchback. Then in 2010 my friend crashed my hatchback after I finally built the car. That's when I had to buy a car fast because I was starting school soon. So I bought a clean EK from my brother. After that I sold it in 2012. I was car-less for a year then one of my close friends handed down a car for me that he had no use for anymore. I sold that because the tranny gave out and got a sweet deal from my cousin. I bought his fully stock 95 Honda hatchback EG SI (everything original). Then after driving it for a year I sold it to a friend.

Then finally I got myself a wagon that I have always wanted for years.

When I bought the car it was registered and it passed smog. Everything is stock with wack rims but they will do for now.

After driving it for a few weeks everything was cool. I changed the spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Did an oil change and tranny flush. Just the basic stuff. Then I started to notice some problems. My car started to idle weird and stall out at stop lights and stuff. I cleaned out the IACV then the idle started to fluctuate and die at stops. I topped off the coolant and everything was cool for a bit.

Then it came back again but this time the idle is good but at stops the car would die like as if I turned on a fuel pump kill switch. I noticed that the fuel pump was hardwired into the underdash fusebox (signal light slot). The yellow red wire was confusing until I looked under the electrical tape I found the yellow black wire. I have no idea why it was like that.

I took it out and wired it back to the other end of the original fuel pump wire that was cut.

Right now the car still dies out at stops like as if my fuel pump kills. The idle sits good then it dies. I'm annoyed of it because I can't figure it out. I did some research and people say it can be the dizzy, coil, ignitor, spark plugs, wires, etc.

Anyway, besides the problem I still drive the car everyday to work and school. Starts up fine and drives fine.
