***please help clutch goes to floor***

Hello everyone so i have a question. The other day leaving from a stop light my clutch feel to the ground. The clutch cable was tight but it felt the throw out bearing wasn't doing its job. I check the pedals and cable and didnt see a problem. I put a new trans with a new throw out bearing and put it all back together. I am getting the same exact issue. Could it be the clutch cable or something else? Any help is appreciated. Thank you. Also check the clutch and flywheel and it all looked just fine. Also looked in the pedal assembly and didn't see anything broken.

What throw out bearing did you use? Testing the cable is as easy as it gets.

Youre 110% it's not your pedal? Get in there with a flashlight and be good and damn sure. It's one if the most common wagon issues...
  • Did you bleed the clutch system? Check the clutch master and slave cylinder?

This is most likely the problem. Have someone step on the clutch while you are looking at the lever on the transmission. See if it's actually even doing anything. I busted 2 wagon pedal boxes.

Now I thought this as well. Before I took the trans off I went in there upside down with a flashlight and checked. Didn't see anything broken or bent. When you hit the clutch and look at the arm it moves up then stops and I have to take my hand and physically push it down to get the pedal to come back up. The old throw out bearing in the old trans stuck on the shaft because there was a small ridge on the shaft.
  • Clutch cable could have partially snapped and frayed causing it to snag or get stuck.

If that was true then when you press on the clutch the fork wouldnt move at all would it?

excellent. now you have a spare pedal box as well. a must have really.
  • New bump here. So I am not have problems with the cable. It's a stage 2 clutch and I have to have the cable extended literally almost all the way in our for Me to be able to dis engage the clutch. There is very little moment from when the clutch isn't engaging to when it actually is. Anyone have issues with having to extend the cable all the way to make it work?

Did you get the correct cable?

Um honestly I don't think so. I think I just got one for a civic hatch. There wasn't any in stock for my wagon. It was like a week or two waiting to get it. Do you think that could have anything to do with it?
