Need help d16z6 turbo setup

Please don't burn me to the ground but I'm looking into building a z6 swap for my wagon. I'll have about 2-3k to build it.looking to achieve 250-300hp. I know in the mopar world the have basically "recipe" books to build motors for certian power/money ranges. Have you ever heard of a things for civics?

I have a complete z6 block and head sitting around. Ive be been thinking about going with:

ebay top mount turbo kit
vitara pistons
eagle rods
arp studs

But that's where I'm kinda stuck anyone got knowledge on what else I need anyone seen a diy on a turbo build with dunno sheets?

Thank you you for the support and help

  • Not 100% what all he built with but you might want to check out DrFinks build. Though he went with the disco potato turbo, that in itself would eat half of your budget, but it's a hell of a turbo.

Don't go the eBay kit route, you'll end up buying everything twice. (Trust me, I did it, lol.) Look into the go auto works kits, or build your own.

Vitra pistons would work for your goals. I would go with custom length rods instead of eagles. There is a few manufacturers that make them. Stock length rods will put your compression stupid low.

Stock valvetrain and camshaft should be fine for 300 also.
