Wagon of the Month Ideas

with the increasing number of members and their rides on this forum i thought it would be kinda fun to have a "wagon of the month" contest where members post one good picture of their wagon then everyone votes for their favorites, then have one remaining contestant who will be the "wagon of the month" for the next upcoming month. winners would then be able to post up a gallery of their wagon and recieve proper recognition 
anyways, Pacifier, you need to chime in on this one 
i guess laying down ground rules would be the most challenging thing so that everyone doesnt post a picture all at once cause it would be pretty crazy voting over 300 cars. somehow we need to make it to about 10-20 cars at the most at one voting session. maybe we could divide into regions? or wagon colors? perhaps member join dates? anyways...
what do you guys think?

That sounds like a good idea!
i think the best would be to break it down to regions.
such as the following:
WEST COAST - CA, NV, OR
NORTHWEST - WA, ID, MT
MOUNTAIN CENTRAL - CO, UT, WY
MIDWEST - IL, MI, MN, MO, NE, OH, OK, WI
SOUTH - AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC, TN
SOUTHWEST - AZ, MN, TX
NORTHEAST - CT, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VA, VT, WV
EUROPE - all
CANADA - all
ASIA, AFRICA, PACIFIC ISLANDS, AUSTRALIA, etc - all
then we just start the routine over again.
contest rules:
-must be your OWN wagon. not pictures of someone elses ride. if you no longer own the vehicle then you are an exceptiong to this rule unless someone on this board now owns it.
-only ONE picture of your wagon. if you win you will have the chance to post a "gallery" of your wagon for the winning month.
-only ONE VOTE per member (duh)

Plus if we do an overall we already know who the top few will be
overall would be a good plan. somehow i still think it should still be broken down into regions. perhaps have 10 wagons of the month... one from each region???

also a simple list of mods, as big or small as they maybe. i think this would be a great way for everyone also to get more "in touch" and "in tune" with what everyone is doing/has done to their cars and perhaps be an inspiration to others. we'll see....
since this board isnt actually OVERLOADED with "active" members i dont think there would be too many people fighting at one time so having one wagon chosen from a bunch wouldnt be that hard.
so as such, i think we pretty much have it down. simple. i think a little "timeline" would also be nice to keep things organized and going... for example:
-Dec. 1-20 members post best photo (ONE ONLY) of their wagons under the thread "wagon of the month contestents - January(etc)"
-Dec 21-28 members vote for their fav. wagon on the [soon to be] given Poll.
-Dec 29-30* wagons with ties compete a final round. also the 30th will be the LAST DAY TO VOTE for "WM" (wagon of the month) for January.
(*assuming there will be ties.)
-Dec 31 WM anounced for Jan. winning member will be recognized and will have the oppurtunity to post his/her best pictures in a WM gallery. this will be a stickied thread under "wagon multimedia." titled "wagon of the month- January" winning member can then write a brief description, history, features etc. on his/her gallery as well.
this cycle would then repeat.
as far as next winning member goes... you think the previous winner's post should be deleted? or the next winners gallery just posted under the previous one? i was thinking just delete...
we should archive them tho, so people can still see the winners overall, but cant post anything else. it'll be locked, but still viewable.
and...did you get permission from Frank or P yet? lol
yeah i was thinking we would lock it after the month is over then just start a new thread for the next month.

beware though winner - you will have to be prepared to have a nice gallery set up and have peoples questions answered
ehh?? that doesnt make sense. once winner is chosen, let public ask questions then lock when winner is announced??
when say the winner for Jan. is announced then let him have his "hory and fame" and such with the questions and pics for a month then come Feb. winner the Jan. guys thread will be locked and the new winner for Feb. get the glory and fame etc...
