1987 rt4wd tranny shifting troubles

Hello all!! I hope someone has an answer for me. I just rebuilt the engine in my '87 rt4wd, after re-installing everything my transmission will not shift correctly. It will not go in super-low and seems like it is stuck in the same gear although it feels like it is shifting (it moves through the h pattern). Can anyone tell me what happened, or what i can do without removing the tranny. Also are there any links that show the rt4wd transmission tear down and repair procedures, the books i have don't show crap about the 4wd... I really don't know what happened it worked flawlessly before removal...

    I would inspect the shift cables and shifter mechanisms first before pulling the box apart, make your your shifter is also adjusted within spec.

    check your clutch cable make sure you didn't bind it that happened to me when THE car was off it went in every gear but when turned on didn't want to go in any gear. Make sure the clutch cable isn't binded
