New guy in Tennessee

Band Wagon
Hey guys,
My name is Tommy and I live in Johnson City TN. I have been a member on here for a little while now and haven't posted anything. I guess I'll just jump right into it.
I bought my car in July last year. It is my second Honda. My first was a 1990 Civic Hatchback STD. It is a 2WD 1990 Wagon. It was pretty beat up, but it had no signs of a previous collision and no rust. It had lowering springs on it and a d16a6 block with a y8 head. V-tec is not wired up though. Here are the pics when I got it in my shop.
Sometime after that I messed around with different strut/lowring spring/top hat combinations to get it lower while I being too cheap to buy suspension. I bought a set of Konig Retracks 15x7.5. They were white by day, and glow in the dark by night. From there, I just messed with little things: exhaust, front lip, underbody diffuser, HID's, you know, the usual.
Some time in October (while we were under a slow spell at work), I paid one of the guys at work to finish the body work on the car. Here are some of the pics of the car under primer. That is Kieth in the picture, he did a great job!
From there, I painted the car back the original color with a few "custom touches". While I was in there, I shaved the antenna and relocated it to a shorty in the middle rear part of the roof to give it a more modern look. I cut the rings off all the Honda emblems leaving just the "H" and painted them gloss black. I color matched the front and rear bumpers. I installed my JDM side repeaters in the fenders. And my favorite part, I painted the roof, mirrors, and window frames on all the doors, gloss black with three coats of clear, so they look like glass. Here is a cell phone shot of it after I put it together and cleaned it up.
In January, the timing belt tensioner seized up and started to eat the timing belt. Luckily I caught it before it snapped. However, the car was using a ton of oil and smoking pretty bad anyway. While I was changing the timing belt/water pump, I decided to pull the head and go a little deeper. I had the head machined, replaced the valve stem seals, all the exhaust valve guides, cut all the valves, and replaced two because for some reason, they were already bent. I pulled the pistons, ran a hone on the cylinder walls, and put rings and rod bearings in it too. It went from using a quart of oil a week to... well, now I don't have to take off the oil cap until I do an oil change. Ha! It still blows a puff out every once in a while, but eh, from what I have seen of other Hondas in town, it's the nature of the beast.
In February, I treated myself to a little birthday present. The Konigs just didn't pop in the daytime like I wanted, plus white wheels suck to keep clean (ceramic brake pads did help a good bit though). I got a set of 15x8 XXR 531 Platinum and some Falken Ziex 512 195/50R15. They have less offset than the Konigs and they are .5" wider, causing them to poke a bit, but I'm happy with them.
My brother and I went out for some rolling pics! He is an action sports photographer. Here is his website Coolidgecam.com
This is pretty much the way it sits now. I do still have plans for it. I still need to address the driver's seat, the headliner, and I have a built DOHC ZC that I am going to one day put in it. I don't like to down it too long at a time, because it is my old reliable daily driver. I will continue to update you guys on anything new from here on out.

Dude, that looks fantastic! We should meet up sometime, I'd love to see that thing in person. We have a cabin in Valle Crusis and I've been spending a lot of time there. Not too far away from you!
That would be fun! I love car meet ups.
Thanks! Yes I put an underbody diffuser back there. Just for looks.
I want my wagon to look like that except with rt wheels.
