How are those eBay valve cover gaskets/spark plug tube seals?

I see some sets for like $7 and some for $20+.. None really mention a brand or anything so I can only assume they're all the Made In China stuff. Any of you have any experience with these?

Can't say I have used them, though at that end of the price spectrum, I'd just get a Beck/Arnley or something similar and go with that, decent brands can still be had for under $20. So I'd probably avoid the ebay stuff myself, unless a specific decent brand is listed.

Also if you're getting any oil in the tubes you'll want to change the o-rings under the cam lifters. It's not too difficult a job, you just need a torque wrench to get stuff torqued back down to spec.

If you're getting any oil around your plugs, you'll absolutely want to do that otherwise you're just going to have to do it again later. Also nearly all of them that ship with the seals to do the seals under the cam holders just ship with 4 o rings, that's fine for three of them, one is a figure 8 though. 91302-PJ7-003 - #4 cam holder

I'd say it doesn't matter, and who knows it might not, but the small loop on it is going to an oil galley. I'd rather have those all nicely sealed up as they're meant to be.

If you're doing this though, don't pull all the bolts like I did, those are the only things holding it together. Wrap a towel around it so you can flip it over without the bolts coming out, then you're good.

I've been ordering from JIS motors in Texas, they're super cheap and oem quality surprisingly

Thanks guys. I ended up going with a Beck/Arnley kit from my local parts place.. for $35 taxes in I got the valve cover seal, 4 upper spark plug tube seals, 4 lower spark plug tube seals/o-rings, and 4 of the grommets & washers that go under the valve cover nuts.

Surprised it cost that much local. I usually buy from rock auto though. But yeah you can get that oring special order from your local honda dealer, or online. Might not matter to you on it, but it's peace of mind for me.

Either way, good job. My motor was entirely covered in oil when I first bought the car. I cleaned it off really well, installed the gasket and cleaned it again. That way you can better identify any existing leaks. Not a drip since, so I'm very pleased all my leaks were from there. Hopefully all yours are too.
