Also does anyone happen to know what the wheels are up top? They are Honda wheels, say Honda in them but I have never, or anyone I know, have seen them before. Just a random thing I guess

Thanks man, I appreciate it. Hopefully it'll come a long way from here but I think we're off to a good start. And yeah those are close. Ive never seen them on anything before. Only difference between mine in the link are the centers and mine are 14s. I keep searching with no luck. Hopefully Ill add some more pics of the wago tomorrow to show a few more updates

A little update on for the header. I had a d series header laying around and figured i'd give it a go. Took some modification and shortening due to the awd but in the end it turned out great. has a unique sound and looks pretty good I think

  • Nice! Just noticed you're from Mt. Airy! I'm in Winston Salem!

Were you able to weld that manifold while installed on the car, or did you have to pull it off to get to it?

It was originally a 2 piece. So had the top bolted on and did my modifications to the bottom part. Took a while of putting on an off and on and off to check fitment but worked out great in the end. Also thats awesome. We go through winston all the time. Supposed to be heading that way Friday and Saturday night this weekend for a few car meets I believe

  • What meets did you go to? I know of one at Hwy 52 / Hickory Tree Rd, I'm gonna try to get out to that one when my car is legal (header needs to be modified to clear the transfer case lol) And I'll definitely keep an eye out for you!

My car is a Red 89 RT with a lightly modified Z6 swap, lowered on LS meshes

Awesome man. I just installed air ride. I know thats kinda controversial to some people but I like being able to get over speed bumps, then maintain a good low stance. I'll upload some pics here in a bit and try to get a video here soon. Really wasnt planning on the air ride but we practically stole the kit. Almost felt bad for being so cheap. lol. But its on now. Plan to upgrade it soon with better valves (valve block) for more control and a better ride. But even as it stands I'm quite happy with it. Been taking some much needed time away for my budget CRX build. I plan to start a thread on it soon here too.

Also for anyone who may be reading any of these. A helpful tip: I worked for an Vw/Audi shop for a while. In my time there there was a woman with a mk2 golf who had the most perfect black moldings I'd ever seen. My boss had ask her how she kept the molding in such great dark shape over all the years. Her answer "Shoe Polish." I couldn't believe it. But yes, buy some black shoe polish(preferably the kind with the foam end) and apply over your dull faded moldings. May take a couple of coats depending on severity however, Works fantastic. Doesn't come off in multiple washes. Doesnt run, and gives that dark black shine without the pricing of the other products doing the same job or the hassle of taping and painting. Worth a try to anyone tired of using armor all after every wash....

You can see the effect in my picutes above. Look at the first picture posted, then look at the last. Nothing but shoe polish and that last pic is after about 3 weeks after applying... Multiple rains and washings...

Next to come is paint and body. And thats going to be a long journey. Mainly the hood. The rusty quarter and small dings i can manage but finding a hood I think is going to be rather difficult I believe
