Bigdzysays' new RT4WD daily beater

So I picked up this 89 AT RT4WD Wagon up on Wensday and drove her 30 miles to my house. 891.jpg the first 10 miles went uneventful. Kept it under 40mph and then the freeway happend. At about 60mph there was an extreme vibration coming from steering wheel. So I held on tight and made it home. A check engine light came on but would go away when I would brake? anyways when I went outside the next morning I noticed 3 ball bearings the size of marbles. So I jacked up the front and took the wheels off and I noticed a substantial amount of grease on the passenger side. And that's when I saw this. 217.jpg. I have a spare axle from my 88 that it won't need so I'll be swapping it in. Both outer tie rods and lower ball joints are shot so I have those on order. That's all for now.

  • So a little update, after replacing the passenger axle, both lower ball joints, outer tie rods and driver side uca, oil change, transmission fluid change, spark plugs and air filter, I go to start the Wagon and nothing.... so I tried jumping it and that got me power to the instrument panel, but not enough to even crank. So I sadly made my way to walmart expecting to pay 100 bucks for a new battery. They tell me the battery is under warranty and I got a free one! Today I took it in to get an alignment and I noticed a scratchy noise coming from the rear. I'm assuming the drums are going? Also after awhile a check engine light comes on, only while under load, once the brake is engaged the light goes away. Wagon drives fine with or with out light.
