WELL, 2nd time around. Laguna Gold RT4wd
MY_EEWagon
Wagonist
yes, you read it right. MY_EEWagon has another wagon! although ive had it since early last month, i failed to keep it a secret! haha. but i couldnt help it and i dont want to get tooooo far into the project to skip the updates. so here i am posting another build thread for viewing pleasures.
i traded my beloved rustoleum paintjob EF sedan for this 88 RT4wd wagon. we straight traded with no cash added (my friend) and i got parts on top just cause.
Bone stock clean title
koni yellows / lowering spring
3 Drag/Slipstream
16 rota grid concave with new tires.
quick release.
alpine with rear crv ceiling speakers.
blue interior swap (shrugs)
zc headlights
ef5 corners
lude foglights
2.5 exhaust.
heres how it looked the next daylight after getting the car.
priority was first. it had no cat and had no o2 sensor due to the y8 header. the y8 header had the o2 under the car. it was cut after the merge to 2 then custom to clear the gearbox. it was also cracked when i got the car so into repair it went. welded the crack. welded an o2 bung and bought a new o2 sensor. welded on my 2.5 cat i had saved for smog purposes.
it passed smog, yay me! tagged and insured. legit.
so i couldnt help myself due to the car came to me with some bodywork done. so me being me, i got down with the bodywork. this was a time frame of feb 4~ to march 14.

so happened to find 1 slipstream in black in 15 and has a new tire on it for 100$ lol!
p.1/4
p.side
d.side
the hood was surprisingly dentless
worked the trunk
removed what i could. had the car sanded down with 400 grits. took it to a friends shop and he sprayed it for me. i bought 2 quarts of omi paint with activator, gallon of transtar clear and hardener and transtar sealer. YR87M Laguna Gold Metallic. 5 base, 4 clear
how i got it back! put on some 90-91 bumper corner to match the 90-91 corners.
whew! giving it time before wetsand and buff!
needed a much back to black.
took it out to a local meet.
and how it currently sits today.
already bought a d16z6 engine in plans to build for boost after i finish my RHD BUILD which you can view here if you havent already

abide, truckslammer, mistahjoe, queef | cheif thank you guys!
quarters, although that might just be an opinion, i might put a stock wing back on. i wanted to match the chargespeed lip, but unfortunately that has blew into pieces. the stock wing was broken in several area and my rhd is down, so i had swapped the spoilers.
jongsr, yeah, i was a bit confused on the story about why and how that happened. the car was registered as a commercial vehicle to some sort and it was used for hauling. had no interior. before coming to me, the whole interior was bought from a junkyard. for the most part, its complete.
simplyhonda, i did not paint this one. i drove the car almost 50 miles to drop it off for paint at a friends shop. the rear was hit as so it seems and the trunk latch sticky. from the lever up front you would have to really tug on it to pop the trunk. i forgot to tell my friend about it so he ended up not opening the truck to remove the lights. although he still did good coverage, i didnt mind it.
I also love the wing. I am excited for mine to come in so I can get it on asap!
the paint is omni. i bought 2 quarts and 2 quarts of activator. transtar 1 gallon of clear and hardener, transtar 1 gallon of sealer. it came close to 400 with other misc items.
past Saturday i did my rear bumper trim and flaps. l.plate garnish and cleaned my tailights.
Wing doesn't look out of place on this one.
then i wanted to lower this nasty gap
by doing this
but that didnt changed shit, so i ended the night like this. probably throw the type1s on tomorrow.
my brother and i
i got my stickers from prennro!
got the infiniti qx4 visors that i super warped. not too worried about it because its was only $26~ on ebay.
also finally finished the 100% bolt on chargespeed wing. this wing is a replacement to the stock wing so you are able to keep your stock wing. it HAS already been sent out to be replicated.
this one is on the car now.
this is the finished wing.
heres one from yesterday. last day of work. i got laid off due to the company expanding and moved into a new warehouse which is about 80miles away plus toll fee.
enjoy!
i tried by wheels on the other day just to see how it looks. i think it flows really nice. Desmond regamaster evo. 16x7 +45. 195/50/16 Advans A048 +25mm spacers

brother, mine. mothers.
I like the Regamasters, they sit nicely on the wagon!:encouragement:
Great updates, this wagon is not going to be sold for the S2k tho right?
