British Build! - RT4WD Daily Beater - Beagle Bullbar!

Saved this from the junkyard.
This is my 2nd RT4WD, Only 6/7 left registered in the UK/ England. I now own 2 of them!
This will be the daily Hack, and hopefully be the towing vehicle to take my other RT4WD to the track
picture of it frosted up...
Pictures of Aids...
FUCK THAT
Loaded to be fixed.
What monster do you guys take me for? aha
I've used Sedan arches for this, Hatch panels may have been the better option, But the price of Hatch panels as rocketed compared to Sedan panels.
For reference.

thanks for saving her
Why so few, and how do you know?
Seen lots of mini builds where the firewall was the only original panel left
Keep it up
Because all vehicles in the UK, have to be Registered, you have to pay Road Tax etc, which creates a record for that car.
There is currently 8 registered in the UK (if you go through the records, there is 7 registered in 2012, then i registered my first RT4WD which brought the record up to 8)
This one here was last registered in 2012, so when registered, it should still show 8 currently registered. But the record doesn't count UN-Registered vehicles (Which is currently 4 or 6 from what i can read on there - This means the vehicle is still alive somewhere, just not able to legally drive on British roads)
Rust is a BIG issue in the UK!
as if there the slightly scare of frost...They salt the roads. So even when its not snowing, the roads are always salted from around Mid-November to around end of March. I also live next to the sea, which doesn't help...
This one was so bad because of shoddy previous repairs. When i removed the fiberglass, it was soaking wet behind (Despite the weather being dry for 2-3 days before hand).
But hopefully picking it up next weekend. ready for its Road Worthyness test before i can drive it on the road! going to be weird going from a dumped, track supercharged RT4WD to this stock height, stock seats, stock suspension aha!
Got some bits today, Leather wheel from a Concerto 16i, bumper mounts, fog switch, bumper mounts and some door seals.
2 Tins of Dynax S-50. They say 1 is plenty...
BUT. also found a major issue...Only managed to get this shot, some AIDS on the underside
Entire suspension mounting point for the RTA Bush is Rotten. So now the arm has got to be removed in order to gain access.
So, looks like an extra couple weeks and more £££
Drivers side has been started.
:top:
More rust. Found under a good 2-3mm of body filler
And underneath a huge thick piece of fibreglass that was covered in Schultz/under seal and stone chip etc.
Might have it back this weekend at this rate...
AND SHES HOME! 8)
Will get some more pics of the finished work tomorrow, as i got it back after dark :top:

Thanks for saving another wagon!
Nice metal fab work to the guy that was doing it!
Removed the bumper to remove all the shite fog light wiring from the previous owner, There isnt even a bloody relay. all wired into the headlight circuit under the dashboard...
And the bumper bar is rotten, in 2 pieces. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
And the main reason for the bumper removal is the bonnet release as it wasn't returning after the bonnet was released. Turned out the small green plastic piece that clips into the mechanism had snapped. So until i get a new cable. had to make do with a manual spring return using a piece of wire.
Whilst removing the rear plate holder to fit a late spec item (Late spec is a solid piece, early spec have 4 holes in the main piece) i noticed a bit of rust under one of the tailgate light units. Removed it to be greated with yet more aids. With no welder handy, just wire brushed it, Zinc primed and painted to make it last a few more years.
Removed the rear "H". Cleaned, Polished and re-seated the h badge with some double sided tape.
and painted one of the rear door metal uprights. all the overspray.
More tomorrow!
Drilled the Airbox.
Drilled the rear bumper mounts, not 100%. But it will do. Gave em a coat of Etch, Grey, Colour and Laquer to help seal them for years to come.
The bonnet hinge snapped aswell, so had to fix that
Got my roofrack back on.
Going to try and get an MOT booked tomorrow.
Sills painted, and then covered in Dynax S-50.
Gave the sill covers a bloody good clean aswell.
Fitted a K&N Panel filter.
and for MOT we went! Passed with advisories on tyres and track rod boots. Not bad!
NOW ROAD LEGAL
Loving the Wagon Life once again!
