Had time today to finish all of the insulation on all 4 doors. I used a medium weight shower curtain for $10 and I had enough material for all 4 doors and still some leftover that I can use on the 2 front doors of my sedan. I bought a silicon from Lowe's for $5 and it worked great. It should be easy to remove once dry as well in case I need to work in something behind the doors. Here is the cut piece taped to the door and I outlined the original shape.
And finished up looking and fitting great. I'm very happy how this worked and feel like it should help in keeping my AC running great during our hot Texas summers. Just need to screw back in the mounting bracket for the door handles and I'm waiting for my new clips to come in so I can put the panels back on.
Nice find, for sure and a great start to the build so far. Looking forward to seeing more progress. You've got a nice EF collection started!
lol, you've noticed. Hey the wife was all for it when I spotted the wagon when visiting my parents so I went for it. I think it helps that I have been putting her through school over the last year and a half so she has a hard time telling me no sometimes. I'm hoping this summer to have wheels for them all and I can take some pictures of all 4 together which will be awesome!
OK, lol... I was aware of a sedan (daily beater?) and the teal hatch (crazy clean), now this sweet wagon...
The sedan was the daily for about a year and now he sits inside the garage all week with the hatch. I drive this HF all winter, and will use the wagon in the summer when it is hot!
Not many updates. I installed a 2 way car alarm, also a kill switch somewhere, and this eBay setup hub and quick release. I know it's not s huge deterrent for theft but I like the way these wheels feel. I have one on my Crx also.
I installed the Function Form Type 1's and washed it for the first time since bringing it home in December. I'm going to need to add some washers to the rear upper control arm because the rear experienced a lot more camber than the front when I lowered it. I think it makes the rear wheels look lame. I'll fix it Monday. My RTA bushings are shot as well so those will be next on my list of things to fix.
Also found a lip at the junkyard. Not sure what care it was off of, since I found it on the ground. I matched it up to a civic sedan bumper and fit almost perfect. $10 later, and I like the way it looks. I'll try to get a better pic of it.
I haven't driven my wagon in months and finally got started working on it last week. I pulled the transmission and made a time lapse video which I thought was pretty cool. I changed the crankshaft and cam seal and also put on a new timing belt, tensioner, and water pump. I should have it back together within the week. Just waiting on a new clutch return spring for the throwout bearing to arrive.

Man that was a butcher job the PO did on those rear panels. Glad your getting that
straightened out. Cant get over how clean your wagon is. Nice!
