Yes I have a 88 crx si.
No build thread on that one.
So I caught on Craigslist a 88 civic si for $1300. Texted the guy about it. Come to find out it was an 89 civic si. He only had 3 pictures but he told me it was worth the drive. So I did the two hour drive. Loaded the kids in the wagon and went to see it. As we are talking about the hatch and saying yeah I know you have it listed for $1300. Well Ill take (fill in blank). I did not pay $1300.
Basically in a nutshell it is a totally complete 89 civic si, two owner with 174k on the clock. This still has the factory floormats, factory radio, factory speaker pods, factory lip and also rear mud guards.
I borrowed a friends dolly and went and got it.
This is how it is sitting in my driveway.
Things I know it needs:
Clean and wax
Painted trim
Two newer hubcaps (front ones cracked)
Motor work
Drivers headlight replaced due to crack
Windshield replaced due to two huge rock chips on the way home.
AC.

Fist one really rusty cut up, second sitting in the driveway.
My wife caught it the first day we got it. She said it is dirty I have to give it that. But she also understood it has been sitting in a storage shed.
I used a three stage wax/cleaner on one part and it is night and day different. So I know what i might be doing over the long weekend.
89 Civic Si = autocrosser's wet dream. Surprised you were able to pick it up for cheap.
I told him I'm an EF guy I know by looking that one it is a 89.
He texted me an hour later, yep your right just looked at the title.
I've be gradually working on this one, when the kids are in bed and when wife is at work.
I've had bam and other volunteer to help but right now I've been ok with it since I really don't do much until 9 at night.
Na I think I'm good.
do it
Don't you have enough EF's? I know that is the pot calling the kettle black.
