 For starters check for ice or leaves at the gutter(& down the sides from there) where the hatch hinges attaches.
 long shot: Pull your spare. At the bottom there maybe a grommet missing. If it is you'll prbably see that missing speedo clip on the ground.
 I think Clsmooth or Gutterslide made a gasket.Check old site.If site is still up?or if hackers didn't erase it during the attack.
  • could you post the link of the old site?
  • here's the Google cache of the DIY from my old forum.
    http://72.14.207.104/search?q=cache:Dav ... nt=firefox

if it doesn't show up when you first click it, try refreshing the page.

i also posted it somewhere else, but i can't seem to find it now.

also, i recommend either using mousepads to make the new gasket, using silicon sealant, or just buying new ones from honda. the thin craft foam sheet didn't work very well.
  • thanks!!!!

how bout the headlights? coz moist goes in there? just silicon?
  • silicone sealant should work.

you can take them off the car, pull the bulbs, and let them dry out for a day or two. i guess you could put them in the oven at about 100 degrees for a while. to dry them out thouroughly. 100 degrees in nothing that they wouldn't see in natural conditions anyway.
  • oh ok i owuld do this one! thanks!

Gutterslide, how much do you think goole could have cached of our old forums? I thought that old info was lost forever. Good to see it isn't
  • yah, i just found out about Google's cache of my site a couple days ago. i got all excited until i realized in my case, it didn't bring up alot of real content.

you can search using the following...

    site:whatever.com

then go to the last page of results, click "repeat the search with the omitted results included", and you'll get all the results.

you can also get more specific results by adding specific words to the search...

    site:whatever.com keyword

you can also check to see if it's been archived at www.archive.org

    tell me bout it!

it took me 30 mins figuring out how to remove it! :x

coz i thought its the same as the 2000 civic then i found out that you need to remove the signal lights on the bumper and there are bolts overthere
  • lol its all trial and error!

    hey gutterslide,
I bought some of these with high hopes. haven't applied them yet.
I got two adhesive types and two non-adhesive types and stuck one to the other to add thickness. have to see if that helps.

hey guys. I remember CL used a mousepad as a replacement for that gasket. just trace the old one and cut with an exacto knife.
