It is a rubber casting of the dash.

Are you making some sort of gauge cluster/cup holder/etc bezel that will fit perfectly into the dash up top without damaging the dash?

Got a little moisture reaction in there. Gotta do a little filling.

Hope to have something substantial by the end of the weekend.

...You've acquired my attention. I think I've contemplated something similar. I suppose I will have to wait to find out...

Dude. Updates. Your original idea is driving me crazy. Need results...

Sorry, sorry. I had to re-make my plug and mold. The first one I tried to just use thin silicone with a plaster mother mold backer. The part I cast out of it had moisture reaction issues and I pretty much ruined it trying to fix it, so I just went back to square one. I poured a full thickness plug, Duratek'ed it then poured the casting. It only needed a little surface work and the Duratek is much easier to sand.

It's out back with PVA drying on it and hopefully I can get gel coat on it tonight. Even though tomorrow is Mother's Day I might be able to pull the first part off it to test for fit. Then I'll move on to making a mold of the top half.

I use my shop vac instead of a vacuum pump. I buy sealant tape, bag, breather and peel ply from Fiberlay.

LOL, he already said it was a dash. That would be a stupid amount of work for sun visors haha.

I know guys. I'll get back on it soon. Finishing up honey-do stuff while the weather has been good. Got my wheels on though. Lowered it just a bit more too. Need to tuck my exhaust up a little better.
