Where to start? My name is Adam and I live in Seattle. I've been customizing cars on some level professionally for about 20 years now. I recently switched career paths and am now in composite armor R&D. Here's a few of the cars I've built for myself. I took a wrecked T-Type Buick turbo Regal (a Grand National that was available in colors other than black), put a Euro Cutlass front end on it, did some motor work, suspension, brakes and interior. Then I decided I wanted something small and sporty while I did more substantial engine work on the T. I found a manual 2000 Civic hatch that needed some work I went over this car stem to stern. New paint, new interior and new suspension. I hadn't gotten to the motor before someone made me an offer I couldn't pass on so I sold it. That coupled with two young kids I decided to get something newer and bigger to drive as my daily. I found a 1996 Volvo 850R wagon and went at it again. This one also got custom paint, interior, suspension and motor work. I started worrying about the car constantly. getting the seats dirty, it getting door dings etc, so I decided to get an older car to daily drive and at this point I was kinda stuck on Volvos. I picked up an 88 Volvo 240 wagon (if you can't tell, I'm a wagon guy). This one I focused more on suspension and motor work and stayed away from making the paint and interior nice. I wound up wanting to do something different with the paint, so I went with a two tone custom layout. Stock color top and graffiti bottom. . The bug bit me again and I decided I wanted to keep going older and stay Volvo. I found a complete basket case of an Amazon and my wheels got turning. The Amazon still isn't done and will be my daily driver once it's on the road. The car I was driving got rear ended and totaled and I was on the lookout for another fun car and thought, "why not go Honda again?". I've always had a soft spot for Civic wagons. I found a RTAWD that seems mechanically sound, but rough around the edges and I got it for a good deal. And that brings us to today. This car is gonna be more like my 245 and I won't be making the exterior or interior too nice. I get awfully dirty at work and will be looking to have some fun with this car during the winter, so I don't want to make it too nice and be worried about it. I'll start a build thread someday, but honestly I'm too busy to update it all that often. I hope to use this forum for LOOOOOOts of information.
