Ignition distributor

Hi all! I have a 91 shuttle.
I was told by my mechanic that I need a "new" ignition distributor. A certain pin is broken and there is water in there.
Am I limited to shuttles when it comes to finding a new one?
What other ignitions can I use?

Any other civic or CRX with same engine will serve. I'm not sure what variants were available in your country. Is your Shuttle multi-point injected?

I have a rt4wd if that's what you're asking.
just talked to all the spare part dealers and no one has this thing! The shuttle is very limited in Iceland - only 2 to 3 cars on the street.
Any ideas guys?

Are there any other 88-91 civics? If so, you will need the distributor from one that has the same intake manifold as yours. engine code is d16a6. Here, that is any civic other than dx or std. Not sure what they are called there. Simpler would be to ask them for a distributor and when they ask what car, say 91 civic. when they ask you what engine, tell them the 1.6 liter. should get the right part.

Thanks for the help guys - i'll keep you posted on what the distributor says, if all fails i might need to find it online.

So, it's pretty much impossible to get this thing from any dealership or part shops.
Any ideas what I should do?

We can get rebuilt/remanufactured units thru most parts shops here. New ones are pretty much unavailable.
These guys offer several reman units.
