whatsup civicwagon I recently bought an 88 rt4wd wagon as a project car for $500. it wasnt running, i found out later that the motor that was in it dropped a valve and it went straight through the piston, lol. I bought a d16z6 swap that had a spun rod bearing to rebuild for boost.
sry for the terrible pic. the car is pretty unhappy right now its been up on jacks for a few weeks aha.
i love the wagon i just wish parts were a little more available for it. i wanted to go through my transmission and replace all the syncros but they're discontinued from honda and there is no viable aftermarket alternative.
anyways the plans are to go vitaras/custom length rods, maybe an upgraded cam, and a small 16g and shoot for ~280-300whp. i was looking at jakers build and i really love the idea of converting it completely to rwd, might try and source a spare tranny to crack it open and see what i can do about beefing up the transfer case. ive heard cryo treated prop shaft as well as a billet transfer case tossed around as ideas
oh and because everyone loves carnage pics, here was what i found in the old motor:
