soft brake pedal

When I am coming to a stop and i pump the pedal it feels better, but at first attempt it's pretty soft.

Is this a sign of a bad MC or should i just bleed again.

    It would be one or the other. The white wagon I had it was the Master Cylinder. If you did anything with the brakes that required letting out some fluid then it could just be air in the line if not I would guess your master cylinder is going.

    are u low on break fluid? if so look for leaky wheel cylinders or banjo bolts while your at it do an inspection on the pads and shoes make sure everything is wearing correctly if all looks good then i would bet its the master.

    ya, my money is on the master as well. I have had it up to *here* with working on brakes. I think i'll get an EX one and get a shop to install it. I hate living somewhere new and not trusting any shops. So far the shops in the area are 0 - 2. My brother works at a Honda Dealership 6 hours away and 2 good friends of mine work a Honda Dealership 20 hours away. The honda dealership here is in on my SH*TLIST! End rant.

    dude, the my EX master cylinder took me literally 8 minutes to change. its super simple, just take it EASY on the two brake line bolts that go into the MC. other then that, its very very easy.

    are the EX masters 15/16ths and a straight bolt in? do u need to bend the a line?

    it was a straight direct bolt in, no bending anything just pulled out the old one, put in the new. super easy and definitly worth it. plus, depending on where you are its super cheap too, got mine at the junkyard for $10 :wink:

    yep, same size as the DA teggy.

    i know this for a fact cause i used a teggy "cap" on it because the EX one wasnt that great.
