Band Wagon
Hello all my fellow Wago owners/lovers! Just picked up my first Civic Wagon and I couldn't be happier. Its a 91 2wd automatic. I purchased it from a friend who took kind of shite care of it. There are a few rust spots on the side rocker panels and a thru hole just below the gas door. Came into the world of the wagon after blowing the motor on my '02 Ford Explorer. I was thrilled about the almost 20 mpg boost I was going to be getting, but I didn't expect to have my passion for driving completely rejuvenated! This thing is FUN to drive! Looking forward to the collective knowledge that this community has to offer, as well as contributing my own! This being my first wagon I would love any pointers from all of you.
My goals for the Wagon are fairly modest; wheels and tires, suspension drop aprx 1.5"Front, 2"Rear, Intake Headers Exhaust, Roof Rack for all the other toys Window tint, rear speaker pods, front and rear sway bars, and I would love a full roof length sliding ragtop.
One of the many custom mods I have in mind is taking out the rear bench and replacing it with buckets (replacing the front seats as well).
One of the only questions I have right off hand is regarding forced induction, being that its an automatic would there be much of a benefit of FI vs NA. And if so would I be better off supercharged or turbo'd. I would really like to maintain the longevity of the motor as much as possible, because of that Im not in a huge rush to start pushing a ton of power. Most important to me is handling, which in my opinion is more important than power to a positive driving experience.
