New to me "1989 WAGOVAN" Hussy
NOMO
Band Wagon
HI-lo, I'm new to the area here in Augusta GA. I recently moved out here for better job location with in two days I found a Wagovan. I never really seen one up close and personal before. It is definitely a "FIT" for me consider the overall looks and practical use not to mention its the unicorn on civics. I've owned several EG prior to. I have had several problems since purchase, but I knew what I was getting into. I'm had the wagovan for a month now and I've gone from leaking gas to flat tires and busted rad hose. The gas tank was epoxy'd for a quick fix by previous owner. The fix didn't last long cause I had to remove it and got it welded up. I had no luck finding a new or used one since is a unicorn and only wagon tanks fit. I got it up and going within three days. The tank was slit from front to rear like junkyard style that was very strange. Got a flat on the ride home from fixing the tank. Luckily there was a spare. Next day I bought a set of hx wheels and tires from the PO of the wagon. The following week I had a heater hose bust but it was right next to the clap so I was able to cut and reattach. The adventure will continue. I really rushed to get this ride not only cause the body is good but there are no other wagons out here for sale with in 50mi. Its hard to buy a car you want without a current ride, family or friends to give you a ride, and did I mention I just moved here. The wagovan is 100% stock. My buddy in Cali told me about the rear options since I didn't know at the time; rear speaks pods and cross bars for the rear windows. I don't really know the purpose for the bars along the rear windows but its cool and different. I'll be posting pictures later today when I load some photo since this is a new laptop. The wagon is blue and has hx wheels. I'm thinking of adding a really bar up front for lights and a roof rack (basket). Its burning oil right now and I'm in the process of sourcing a top end swap. I bought a z6 head, intake w fuel rail, and ecu. The bottom end b2 will be honed, capped, and ringed(+uncorked oil restrictor). I'm looking for a matching dizzy and obd1 harness. Thank you in advance for any help and support. Wagoneers unite!!!:encouragement:
