Thinking about getting a wagon

Hey guys
So, I'm looking to get a different toy/fun/daily/project car in the very near future. I've been considering the rt4wd for a fun car.

I signed up here and will troll around some but I figure with my limited time and such it never hurts to ask the questions that need answered.

1. How do they do in auto-x. I know they don't have much power with the small motor and awd but I figure they are pretty light and the wheels are cornered well so with some sticky tires and decent suspension they can probably hang a turn.

2. are there any serious faults?

Thanks guys

Welcome! Stop thinking about it & buy a wagon! Plenty of guys here have done autox with them. I cannot speak on behalf of their results. Best car ever made, you will not regret this purchase! No serious faults other than the seats rip, time as taken a rusty toll on many of them, and people want outrageous prices for oem accessories. Enjoy the site!
  • My fwd wagon (with suspension upgrades, regular street tires) handled an autox just as good, if not better, than my old stock 05 rsx-s did. I'm eager to finish my awd build and see the difference between fwd and awd on the track.

Great car for so many other reasons as well. Just beware that the wagon-specific parts (awd driveline, body panels) are more expensive and harder to find every day, compared to other EF civics.

    That being said...do it!

I agree DO it - go get yourself a wagon! The main fault is the power in the 3rd gens - but you can supe them up!
