Hi everybody! I was a member of the old site, and didn't even know it went down. I like this format better because it's the same as the other forums I'm part of. Well anyway, here's some basic info for everyone. I wonder if any of you even remember me...

Engine: 1.6L dohc JDM ZC
Trans: matching 5spd for above
Mods: custom intake, header, exhaust
Interior: Autometer Tach, voltmeter, boost gauge (for future use )
Suspension: Custom modified '75 civic struts and '88+ civic HP Racing coil-overs in front, Stock shocks and 2" lowering block in the rear.
Brakes: converted from 4x120 to 4x100 lug bolt pattern, OEM CRX Si front brakes/rotors. Stock wagon 8" drum brakes with redrilled drums for new bolt pattern

I'll be around hopefully more this time around, but life's really busy. Just wanted to keep in touch because I'm looking to get me a wagovan next. Wife wants something a "little" more comfortable and quiet to drive the kids around in. I'm in Northern California so if anyone has any leads, let me know k. Well here's some pictures hopefully I can post them the same way I do on my other forums.

She's looking cleaner than ever mate, very tidy. Welcome back!
P.S. Can i use the second picture down for a screensaver that i am making?
reminds me of the 82 civic i had, but with about 3x the hp.
Wagovan plus:Vinyl seats for the kids.
Wagovan negatives:No 60/40 rear seat,clock & tach.
Mrwagovan:What condition is that '88 4WD in?Layseed this 4WD maybe great for you depending on it's condition. It has a LOT of pluses.2 possible down sides are with the 4WD tranny it's noiser(test drive to see if the noise is OK w/you on the highway too) & worst mileage(26/26),but still better than the CRV.
Sure buddy you can use it, that's the picture I have on my Myspace background..lol
Mr. Wagovan, you got my attention. Does this $300 vehicle run good enough to make the trip back to Modesto? How far is Brentwood from Stockton? I'll have to talk to the wifey about it first. She said cool at first but somehow I just got on her shitlist...never seem to know why. Could be the pregnancy? hahaha, maybe. One of my co-workers just found one for me today also, its an automatic, not sure if it's 4wd though. He said they want a couple hundred bucks for it also. I'll keep you posted through PM's. Thanks for the heads up. Oh yeah, If I do get a wagovan, assuming she's still wants one I'd like it to have A/C, working or not (I can fix it if it's not ) because it's too hot in cali to drive babies around in the summer heat!
Oh and if I get some time, I'm going to make a banner with my wagon so I can represent the 1st gens. Hopefully soon. I also just signed up for the www.norcalcrx.org forum because I have a '91 CRX Si also. Actually I could almost sign up for any honda forum because I have so many...lol. Here's the other forums I'm part of too if you guys want to check out some neato cars: www.1stgencivic.com , www.g1teg.org (I used to have a 1st gen teg, but sold it - but I did buy another one for my dad to drive (cuz it has A/C).
Well, good seeing ya'll and talk to you soon. I'll probably be by once or twice a week. Later!
Oh did I forget to mention I have a 1977 wagon I bought for her last year and she said I COULD restore and swap! I guess she didn't want another project before one is done...so that's cool with me.
I guess I won't be doing much with two kids later on this year anyways...
anyway, looks like a ton of fun!!
It's quick, not real FAST...kinda scary to take something that old and un-aerodynamic up to triple digit speeds, trust me I'd guess it would do about a low-mid 15 second 1/4 mile run? My '76 hatchback with the same engine ran high 14's...sooo I figure the wagon is a bit heavier. It's really fun to drive though and I get a lot of stares... Most people don't even realize it's a Honda.
Good luck trying to find these, I'm having a hard time just finding parts for the two of mine. But I do have 3 other 70's civic hatchbacks.
BTW- Theres some guy selling one of those here in CA its on Craigslist..I think hes in Sand Diego....I think the post says its got working A/C and some optional lighting deal in the cabin. The pics are there...ther car is super clean too!
Gotta finish my 4wd first You from the NW also? I've seen a handful of swapped 70's at Hot Import Nights and what not.
Interior setup?
Basically cut out all old mounting points, cut and trim what's necessary to fit engine, then weld in new mount/brackets. Axles, I had a custom driveline shop make them for me, but there have been people who do that stuff themselves, cuz they have access to materials and a machine shop, etc. Run new fuel lines and external Fuel injection pump - still like to do a full gas tank swap when I get a chance and use an in-tank pump. I occasionally get feed problems and my fuel pump kinda starves/whines really loud. I "piggy-backed" a wire harness from an '87 integra onto the stock harness and just made it work. You have to be real creative or know someone who is resourceful as hell to get the job done. I could probably do a basic swap in about 1 week if I were getting paid for it. There are a couple B-series 1st gen civics around, some under construction. Ever check out www.1stgencivic.com ?I thought about B-series also, but I got used to the ZC because I had a 1st gen integra for years.
Yeah from California and there are lots of 1st gen owners in the NW, especially in Canada. I probably know the people's cars you've seen at HIN.
My interior is mostly stock, torn front seats, old carpet, cracked plastic interior panels, what you would expect from a 28 year old car I guess. I did make a underdash center console for a stereo and a couple small autometer gauges though. Oh yeah, I have an 1st gen integra steering wheel also.
My ideal engine would be a stock B18C (type-R) in my wagon, but they just cost TOO damn much! I wonder if my wife would let me put one of those in her wagon?
Plannin a simple obd-0 B16 w/ CRV tranny for my wagon. Shouldn't be too hard. My buddy that is helping me install it (building the mounts), was the first to run a K swap at an NHRA event back in 03. He built his own mounts for his hatch, and did an amazing job. Should be easily done by June, so hopefully I can get started on my next car.
Next car, might you say? We're looking into swapping a V6 w/ 6spd (CL Type-S most likely) into a 92-96 Prelude. Lot's of work. But it takes lots of work these days to do things different...
*fingers crossed that I stay out of trouble for a change so I can pay for these toys* LOL
Btw these wheels each weighed 12.2lbs on my bathroom scale. Haven't weighed the CRX wheels yet but I'm sure their a tad heavier.
