crank pulley questions

I replaced my d16a6 that was original to my 1990 rt civic wagon with a d16a6 out of a unknown year crx and noticed the crank pulleys were different so i used my crank pulley off my old motor. the car has no get up and go and leaks oil from the front main seal. the crx motor has all new rings and bearings and gaskets. does it matter what crank pulley I use? does it effect the balance of my rotating assembly?

I just put the crx pulleyon and it still is a pooch and has trouble idling without using the little vaccum diaghram on the throttle cable braket. I do not own a timing light but i lossened the bolts on the dizzy and went through the whole range that it gives me and still dosent get any better. any ideas?

Your mechanical timing may be off a tooth or 2 causing the laggy power response. Dont ask me how I know this ;]

Step 1: Rotate crank pulley to TDC

Step 2: Loosen tensioner. The timing belt will get loose. Slip it off the camshaft sprocket.
Rotate sprocket so that the 2 marks are aligned with the flat part of the mating surfaces (headgasket) of the head and block.
Slip the timing belt back on
    Tighten the tensioner.

thank you for the pictures and directions on adjusting my mechanical timing. I dont however understand the last picture are dx and 4wd the same and it should look like the bottom right picture when it is done?

I used the 1st picture to reset timing in my DX hatch. I think you use the bottom right picture for the Sis and the RTR4WD wagons. Its too hot right now or I'd check my RT which as you know is the multi port D16A6 same engine as my CRX si.

The pulley should have a white mark to align TDC. If yours is rubbed off I can look at my factory manual and get back to you. Maybe try a google image search?
