out of ideas

I have a 90 b20 2wd and I've trouble with it since i have had it my car bogs to hell and back all the time once it hits about 4000rpm. Ive replaced the whole wire harness and computer, new fuel pump and filter, checked all the fuel lines, replaced the dizzy twice, and replaced pretty much every relay it has. I dont wanna get rid of the but i dont know what else to do ive had a mechanic give up on helping bevause they've ran out of things to do to it, ANY help will be greatly appreciated. Im a noob to the car scene so dont know much.

  • If it was dpfi originally, it sounds like the mpfi wiring has gone bad. Whichever sensor the mpfi has that the dpfi doesn't is the one the ecu needs to go past 4k rpm. When I did my first mpfi swap I had this problem, turns out I had two wires swapped on accident.

Where would i be able to locate that wiring or is it a sensor i need to look for?
  • Sounds like the Cylinder Position Sensor wiring... Just google the location for whatever make model the motor came out of and check the wires... Also Check and make sure your grounds r tight
