I Give to you the No Name Wagon (nameless so far)

Let me introduce you to the RT4 that has grabbed my attention and is not letting go
A 1989 Honda civic RT4WD Day 1 was kinda busy for me as soon as i got it i did a tune up (new wires, plugs, oil change, trans fluid change, coolant flush & bath)
Day 2 was not as hectic as the first... Complete front end tear down.
the guy who owned it before me had an accident in it and severly pushed down the front passenger side (the Apron is 2 inches lower then the fender)
and then a rebuild with the parts off the old swagovan.
Day 3 consisted of new wheels, and a new rear filler panel, taillights and miscellaneous interior pieces from the donor wagon.
Days 4 and 5 were spent witha sledge hammer, dead blow hammer, and a Porta-Power, attempting to straighten out the core and apron damage. (sorry no pics of those days)
Day 6 was spent trying to stuff in a headlight and corner light into the crushed headlight bucket but we persevered and came up with this
And on the seventh day I saw that the wagon was rolling and it was good so i rested....lol
on day 9 Saturday the 20th I cruised this untested 1 week old wagon down to Bam Bams house for the pre-IA party. day 10 was spent going to A) my first IA and My first club meet. Which was technically spent in a walmart parking lot with a lot of new friends and wagons.
and so here i am now 2 weeks after fate introduced us trying to figure out where to go next. All the ideas i had with the old Swagovan i have thrown out the window. Not gonna slam it to the ground, not gonna do some crazy interior. but i am tossing around ideas for paint, and mild interior mods like this one, I retro fitted a 1998 civic center console into the wagon
Well thats where i am so far i will try to keep you guys updated, with more pics and things i did.

I am working on it as we speak Trevor
You're buying a Penis Enlarger?
Sorry about the lack of slammage but i went there with the last wagon and Hated the way it rode, so this time its going the other way........Up
And as for the color i think the Inferno Orange metallic will be an interesting change from all the other wagons i have seen.
And RBWDriven... No if i had the money for a new Corvette i would spend it doing a complete resto on the RT4
still got a few wrinkles but i was doing it alone and couldnt get them out.... Luckily they are not as noticeable in person. But the Iphone takes awesome pictures
I love the reupholstered headliner idea , I think I want to do my headliner too !
Hmmm but what to put
The possibilities for headliners are almost endless. a few things to watch out for though, when choosing a fabric make sure its not too thin If you can see the shape of your hand through it its prolly too thin. Also it needs to have a little stretch to it put your fingers about 2 inches apart on the fabric and pull if it stretches to at least 3 inches that should be good. and my last piece of advice.. Take your time, it gets boring, and your hands Will get tired, but the more time you take the better the outcome. and if you can get someone to help you when it comes time to put on the fabric. It will help immensely.
Thanks alot i know it has a long way to go but it will get there one day....slowly but surely
Let me know when you get ready to lift, I may have a few ideas on how to get it done...
That Headliner is doing a number on my eyes.
I think my daughter would probably like it.

2K high build primer, 4 coats
then wet sanded with 600 grit wet paper
then fomoco paint code 5144..... Medium Chestnut base color
Monday i will do an 800 grit light wet sand then shoot 2 medium wet coats (not glossy wet) and 1 fog coat (a light mist).. then i will start clear coating, I am going to use Nason Premium clear. mixed 4:1:10% (the 10% being 10 percent of the final volume will be the chestnut base color mixed into the clear with no metal flake) (for instance if you mixed 10 oz of clear ready to shoot then you would add 1 oz of base color to achieve a Kandy like appearance)
