Wagonist
First off let me say. I had an absolutely Awesome time, Thanks to Trevor, Anne & the rest of the CivicWagon.com Crew. Had it not been for the hospitality and sense of support i felt from talking to Trevor I may not have come. Thank you Trevor, for being yourself (an Outstanding individual i might add) I don't remember everyone's names (i stink at names) But the ones who stick out the most Chip, Ryan, Morty, Andrew, Bobert. Please no one take offense if i don't remember your names IA was a BIG day for me.
It all started when Trevor told me to come on down and spend the night. So, i drove down to the Ranch (Its a wagon ranch like no other) a 55 mile trip in an untested RT4WD that i have only owned a week. Arriving at "the ranch" after several calls to Trev to make sure i was going the right way. I was greeted by many people all wagon owners, who welcomed me to the club without any question. After introductions I drank my first beer of the year. lol to seal the bond i guess you could say. After many hours (it seemed like) of wago knowledge being passed on to me, We retired, as 0500 comes too damn early. I woke up to the smell of sausage and eggs and biscuits & the best dang coffee i have ever had from a freaky looking pot (french press is what they call it lol)Thank you very much Anne. 0630 am time to roll out (i think it was 0630 anyway) Rolling out in this crowd of 11 1/2 wagovans and a hatch, Made me really feel like a part of something Special. That is until we got on I-75. and everyone started showing out to the tune of 80+ mph, My little rt4 was doing a SHAKE rattle and barely roll. Wal-Mart Parking lot was 75% full of every import you can think of but I only had eyes for the EE crowd. Here are the few shots i got from that roll in/out
After Trev caught up with us, (don't ask and I wont tell) we were off once again A Wagon Train unrivaled except in the wild wild west. so after this little trip to Atl motor speedway. I topped the last hill before the entrance to be greeted by this
IA is Huge and the fans No matter what kind of Import you drive are Many. So the line although fast moving was Loooong.
After we got in to the lots, we started to try to get everyone lined up but to our chagrin what do we have in Our row, A Fiat, (which we repeatedly thought about picking up and moving) a GMC, and a Hyundai. Eventually though we got everyone moved (by their owners) and got TWO full rows of EE2/4 Love 23 wagons total that i counted. More pics.
AND MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE WAGON!!!!!!!!
Scrappy was not parked with us But his spirit was there all the way across the lot in the CTI booth.
I want to say a Huge and Heartfelt Thank You to everyone who turned out for this Awesome first IA for me. You are all Kick ASS people and I hope we can get together again sometime very soon. This thread is all about the EE love that i have both for your cars, and for all the new friends i have made on this journey. I will post another thread with my other notable cars that i saw an enjoyed while at IA.
