  • well took her out today after getting her registered etc
and after a while it started to lightly snow, and abruptly stopped,

    wasnt working.

LOL! it actually wasn't too bad, 3 bottles of interior
wipes and most of the dirt is gone,
still gotta get the interior to shine a bit,
then when it gets warmer comes a proper wash

    757.jpg

how i cleaned the cup things
    758.jpg

well i soaked them in the water for a bit just to get the dirt loose then soaped them

this was the amount of dirt in the bucket after wiping the rear interior once
    759.jpg

dont have pics of the rear carpet being cleaned but im taking my time on it,
i've vacuumed it a few times, light pressure nozzle sprayed it, let it dry,
vacuumed it a second time and waiting for sometime tomorrow to wash it

thanks man, it means a lot and thanks for letting me know about the diff

i certainly will, won't be anything major for a while, still cleaning the carpet,
i've pressure sprayed it, scrubbed it, still dusty/sandy as hell! lol slowly but surely
  • changing rear diff fluid
  • ok guys, having some issues getting the fluid to flow into the diff
i bought a nozzle to help but all that did was make it like a shampoo
bottle that has a nozzle you press down, and it barely works, maybe just
a bad piece?? anyway, im gonna try again tomorrow
  • ok, so changed the rear diff fluid, turns out the nozzle sold to me was faulty,
i was examining the nozzle and it had a hole in it lol, returned it got a new one,
in about 5 minutes the rear diff fluid was changed and done with.

ok, so now on to the transmission,(im a noob) do you guys know if there's supposed to be
a dipstick for the transmission?? found this tube that wasnt covered or anything
and im afraid things like dirt and gunk may more than likely be in there(sorry for blurry pics)

also, it feels like the transmission is slipping =[
is there a tranny rebuild thread anyone knows of?
  • Lord... That thing is soo dirty but your cleaning her up pretty good! Get some purple power!! It was my key cleaning my wagon I love that purple magic liquid in a bottle.
    Keep the pics coming! :encouragement:
  • ok guys im having issues locating the transmission fill plug,

  • Ok guys I on the third and fourth photo u can see a latch looking thing. I took that off and the inside looked to be a rubber plug. I didn't want to pull it off because I didn't know what fluid would pour out. Is that the fill bolt?? SOMEONE HELP PLEASE!!!
  • does this help? I would 100% suggest picking up a service manual. I have the 89 (even though I've never had an 89) and grabbed this from the auto RT section...
