Cheap coilovers or good springs on stock dampers? What to do?

I don't know what to do about my suspension setup
I can buy some better springs (H&R, Tein,...) which cost around 150-180 and put them on stock rebuilt (new hardware, stiffened and lowered) dampers. Rebuilding costs 160. So I have "new" set for around 330.
Other option is to just buy some cheaper coilovers...
The thing is I don't want to spend a fortune on coilovers right now. So I am set for about 300-350.
So the question is...which would be better?
I would put them on a 4WD and lower it quite a bit.
For height adjustability, I can put some adjustable "sleeves" and make some extended top hats for stock setup, so this isn't a worry.
I'm thinking I wouldn't probably get a decent set of coilovers for 300-350, and the guy who rebuilts dampers says I can bring them back and he will adjust the stiffness for free if I'm not satisfied... What do you guys think?

Save up, do it once, do it right. There is nothing wrong with shocks and coilover sleeves but to get them at a good height, to be comfortable, and to last long it takes trial and error and $$.
In the long run you are better off waiting, saving and getting coilovers to start with
