hey just got my raceland coilovers and i got the rears on but the front wont go into the front fork. too big diameter. i have an 88 2wd is the front fork on the 88 not the same as 89-91.
also do you think they sent me the wrong ones. maybe for civic eg. if so will i have to go buy front forks for an eg. i did search but nothing really helped me. im assuming i got the wrong ones and need eg forks but if the 88 was different ill get 89-91 forks. some one please chime in

yes, EG civics use a larger diameter shock body than EF. You can use EG front struts on an EF if you use the EG forks. This is a common thing to do.

okay thank you. im picking up the eg forks tomorrow. another thing i noticed was that the spring its self doesnt fit into the top hat very well. are ef and eg top hats the same?

They tell you when ordering the raceland coilovers that you will need to use eg front forks. The tophats are the same though, i had to take out the rubber piece that goes into the tophat to get my raceland coilovers to fit the tophat.
