JDM Integra ZXi 4WD

If you've never heard of it then click here

Doesn't anyone know more about it's 4wd system. Does it compare to the shuttle/wagon in anyway. Is it the same deal or an evolution?

Perhaps a question for the Kiwi's ?

Same engine and drivetrain as a Shuttle RTi. ;)
Perhaps a different driveshaft but otherwise the same.
  • So it's front and rear LSD with a solenoid lock up on the rear diff and no viscous?

I know of one being stripped. Might be worth it for some retro fitting. 8)

No no, only the INTRAC model of the RTi has front and rear LSD. And they still have a VC as well..
  • Can the rear dif from the INTRAC models be swapped with the regular dif's? i'd imagine you'd need new rear axles, but it would be cool having an LSD on the rear wheels.

You need a new driveshaft but i don't know about axles.
  • Do they use the same Viscous couple in the centre?

Nah in the INTRAC the VC is integrated into the rear diff, whereas the others have the VC on the driveshaft, hance the driveshaft change. ;)
  • Hmm, i remember seeing a view of the drivetrain of an Intrac model, and it still had what appeared to be a VC in the middle.

I thought it worked in a way where it would still be used to send power to the rear, but the incorperated rear VC would then split that power between the two rear wheels.

Thats just a coupler, to split the shaft into two.. from what i could tell.
